J'vais pas vous surprendre en vous disant que j'ai un problem sous Ubuntu7.10 concernant le wifi (je n'arrive pas a me connecter)

Le driver natif de Gutsy s'appel rt2400pci mais il cause pas mal de déconnexion!
Installation des driver de serialmonkey donc voila un mini tuto (connections par ethernet obligatoire):
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-$(uname -r)
cd
mkdir rt2400
cd rt2400
wget http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/rt2400-cvs-daily.tar.gz
tar -zxvf rt2400-cvs-daily.tar.gz
cd rt2400-cvs*/Module
makeA ce stade le driver est compiler,
Maintenant il faut l'installer mais avant il faut décharger l'ancien (rt2400pci)
sudo ifconfig wlan0 down
sudo modprobe -r rt2400pci
echo 'blacklist rt2400pci' | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/blacklistOn installe le driver fraichement compilé!
sudo make install
echo 'rt2400' | sudo tee -a /etc/modulesIl faut éditer le fichier pour donner les paramètres de connections
sudo gedit /etc/network/interfaces #remplacer gedit par kwrite si tu es sous kubuntuPlacer ces lignes
en WEP hexa
auto wlan0

wireless-essid le_SSID_Du_rezo

Le probleme c'est que je n'a pas les moyens d'avoir une connexion eathernet. Pour en obtenir une je peus me connecté à partir du modem?
Sinon la seule solution c'est d'atendre des MaJ non?

Non pas de modification sous windows.
Sans ethernet il faut que tu remplaces ces lignes :
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-$(uname -r)
cd
mkdir rt2400
cd rt2400
wget http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/rt2400-cvs-daily.tar.gz
tar -zxvf rt2400-cvs-daily.tar.gz
cd rt2400-cvs*/Module
makePar les manip suivante (que quelqu'un me corrige si je me trompe !!) :
dans ta console :
uname -ret tu note le résultat *EXACT*.
Puis tu vas ici (avec ton windows par exemple) : http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/
et tu recherches les packages
build-essential
linux-headers-le_résultat_de_la_commande_uname -r
Tu en profite pour télécharger ceci : http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/rt2400-cvs-daily.tar.gz
Tu rapatries le tout sous ubuntu (clé usb ou autre)
Tu installes les paquets build essential et les linux-headers (voir ici pour savoir comment installer un paquet).
Ensuite dans l'idéal tu déplaces dans ton répertoire home le fichier rt2400-cvs-daily.tar.gz
Et, dans une console tu tape s
tar -zxvf rt2400-cvs-daily.tar.gz
cd rt2400-cvs*/Module
makeEt tu peux poursuivre comme te l'as indiqué Willy.

Je n'arrive même pas a me connecter en ethernet....
j'ai tellement esseyé de choses comment retablir s'il vous plais?

pour te reconnecter automatiquement en ethernet:

J'arrive a me connecter, j'ai suivi les manip de wily mais sa ne marche pas même après reboot et plusieurs tentatives

si tu arrive a te connecter fais donc le tuto
pour une connexion manuelle en ethernet
sudo ifconfig eth0 up
