[Résolu] OS Windows 8 non détecté à l'installation d'Ubuntu

Bonjour,

Je viens d'acquérir un Asus X550L. J'ai voulu y installer aux côtés de Windows 8.1 Ubuntu 14.04.
Lorsque je fais le boot sur la clé USB (en allant dans le BIOS et en faisant le Boot override sur la clé USB en UEFI),
et que je lance l'installation. L'installation me dit "Aucun système d'exploitation détecté". Il ne me propose donc pas d'installer
Ubuntu aux côtés de Windows. Le choix "autre chose" est un peu déroutant et fait un peu peur....
Je précise que j'ai vu en allant sous Windows comment le disque était partitionné :

J'ai essayé de lancer une autre fois l'installation après avoir diminué le volume de la partition D afin d'avoir une zone "non allouée" mais l'installation n'a toujours pas détecté Windows 8.
Si quelqu'un peut m'expliquer comment faire, je suis preneur. Je ne veux pas détruire Windows 8 par mégarde.

Bonjour.
Tu n'as pas le choix, Il faut faire le choix "autre choses" autrement tu écrases windows8. C'est garanti, Voir le message d'accueil de ce forum.

Avant de lancer ubuntu, j'espère que tu as libéré de l'espace disque avec le gestionnaire disque de windows.

C'est dans cet espace libéré que  par   "autre chose" tu  choisiras ta partition /. C'est la seule chose à faire.
Tu ne fabriques pas de Swap.  (Ca rale mais cela passe) . Tu laisses le choix proposé pour l'endroit indiqué pour le secteur de boot.

Les doc à utiliser sont là :
Comment installer Ubuntu en cohabitation (double amorçage) avec Windows
Ordinateurs avec UEFI

A l'étape 3 de l'installation, tu peux voir qu'il faut impérativement sélectionner "Autre chose" parce que l'installateur ne sait pas détecter la présence de Windows 8.1 préinstallé.
Contrairement à Bougron, je te conseille de prévoir une partition swap de 9 Go (il faut qu'elle soit de taille un peu supérieure à ta RAM qui fait 8 Go je crois)
Les deux seules partitions à créer à mon avis sont :
- une partition racine de 20 Go (format EXT4)
- une partition swap de 9 Go

Il n'y a pas besoin de partition /home si tu stockes tes doc dans ta partition DATA. Il n'y a pas lieu non plus de créer une partition EFI puisqu'elle existe déjà. 
Tu peux t'aider avec ce [TUTO] Ubuntu 14.04 en dual-boot avec Windows 8 préinstallé (dans ce Tuto, j'évoque la création d'une partition de partage de données avec Windows mais dans ton cas c'est sans objet puisque tu as déjà ta partition DATA qui remplira cette fonction)

EDIT : pourrais-tu préciser le nom complet de ton modèle d'ordi (genre ASUS X550LB-XO121H comme on peut voir ici) afin qu'on puisse bien identifier ton matériel ?

Bonjour.
La partition swap n'est utilisée que si le logiciel Ubuntu décide  d'hiberner,  Elle peut être créée ultérieurement .
Le plus dur sera peut-être de faire fonctionner le dual boot, pour certaines races de micro, c'est épique. Je ne sais pas dans quelle catégorie est ton micro.

Je me pose naïvement la question suivante :
La partition DATA (D:) existant sous Windows sera sans problème visible à la fois de Windows et d'Ubuntu sans qu'il n'y ait rien à faire ?

Parfait. Je vois ici que ce modèle est équipé d'un processeur Core i7 4500U et d'une carte graphique Nvidia GeForce GT840M (EDIT : je crois que la vraie référence est "GeForce 840M" si j'en crois ce fil)
Au sujet de la partition DATA, était-elle préinstallée ou bien est-ce toi qui l'a créée ?

Personnellement, j'utilise une partition DATA (NTFS) de la façon suivante :
- déplacement de Mes documents, Mes Vidéos, etc... de Windows dans la partition DATA (voir tuto pour Windows 8.1 ici)
- Depuis Ubuntu, utiliser ntfs-config pour réaliser le montage de la partition DATA au démarrage : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/ntfs#configuration
- facultatif : créer des raccourcis en s'inspirant de ce tuto (il a été créé pour une partition DATA en EXT4 mais le principe est le même pour créer des raccourcis vers des dossiers d'une partition NTFS)

Bonsoir.
Si tu de déconnectes proprement de windows, les partitions utilisées par windows seront accessibles tant en lecture qu'en écritiure, Donc ta partition data, et aussi tout ton OS Windows.
Personnellement je n'ai pas choisi le montage automatique. Cela m'oblige à cliquer sur l'icône représentant le (les) disque (s) pour ouvrir. Je ne suis pas à un clic près.
Et ta partition "DATA" sera vue par windows comme un disque dur certainement 'D:"

Je souhaiterais ajouter le modèle Asus X550LN-XO033H dans la Liste des portables « Asus ». Pour que ça serve d'exemple à ceux qui ont le même modèle, pourrais-tu faire un Boot-Info - depuis une session de ton Ubuntu installé sur disque dur - en suivant cette procédure simplifiée : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p16690381 (clique seulement sur "Créer un rapport BootInfo")
D'autre part, peux-tu préciser :
1) si ton ordi démarre bien par défaut sur le menu Grub
2) si tu as désactivé "Secure Boot" ou pas

Promis je me colle à ça dès que j'ai résolu un Pb que je n'attendais pas. La souris souvent ne veut tout simplement pas effectuer le clic ou sélectionner. Quant au pavé tactile, il est inactif. Donc de gros Pb de manipulation, accès aux menus etc..
Je n'ai pas la moindre idée de ce qui provoque ça. J'attends encore piteusement votre aide, après quoi je cherche les infos de boot pour mon ordi et vous les communique.

Je pense que ta carte graphique Nvidia GeForce 840M n'est pas correctement prise en charge par Ubuntu 14.04. Je crois bien qu'il serait utile d'utiliser un pilote spécifique "NVIDIA 337.25" si j'en crois ce post et aussi cette page (les deux mentionnent la prise en charge de la GeForce 840M)
Comme je ne suis pas du tout spécialiste dans ce domaine, je te prie de créer une nouvelle discussion dans la rubrique spécialisée "Affichage et cartes graphiques" pour demander si quelqu'un peut te guider pour installer ce pilote (à moins que tu te sentes capable de te débrouiller tout seul)

Bonjour Malbo,

Tu m'avais demandé de faire un Boot info sur mon ordi.

L'ordi démarre bien sur le Grub et je n'ai pas désactivé le secure boot.

C'est à dire que Boot0002 est en priorité de démarrage (le lanceur de Ubuntu est le fichier /EFI/ubuntu/shimx64.efi) devant Boot0000 (Windows Boot Manager).

D'autre part, si tu sélectionnes l'entrée "Windows Boot Manager (sur /dev/sda1)" du menu Grub, ça ne devrait pas fonctionner - à ma connaissance - du fait que "Secure Boot" est activé. Si tu veux pouvoir utiliser cette entrée pour lancer Windows 8, il faut désactiver "Secure Boot". Peux-tu confirmer qu'actuellement cette entrée n'est pas fonctionnelle ?

mais tu n'y as pas répondu pour donner des nouvelles et du coup on ne sait pas si ça s'est résolu tout seul après des mises à jour ou bien si tu as fait une des actions proposées par GP974 dans le post #4. Ce serait bien que tu donnes des infos dans cette autre discussion afin que ça puisse servir à d'autres.

Bonjour,
LeLorrain jai voulu installer  ubuntu 14.04 comme toi mais lors de l'installation j'ai rencontré le problème de touchpad que tu as mentionné et j'ai préféré arreter. As tu trouvé une solution? si oui je suis preneur smile
