[ RESOLU ] Changent de PC et installation, deplacement du disque dur ?

Bonjour,

Mon PC actuel rendant l'âme (un T3200 de 2008, livrée avec windows Vista), je viens d'acheter d'occasion un nouveau PC portable intel i3 HP, avec windows 8 en 64bit dessus.

Je souhaite conserver windows et Linux comme je le fais actuellement.

Mais je me pose une question toute simple, est-ce que je peux prendre mon disque dur actuel et le mettre dans le nouveau PC sans rien faire d'autre ?
Est-ce que ça ne  va pas poser plein de soucis insoluble au démarrage ? (problème de pilote etc, voir de boot ?)

Si tu n'as pas installé de pilote propriétaire pour ton ancienne carte graphique, ça devrait booter sans souci.
Si tu en avais installé un et que tu as des difficultés à démarrer ton système, tu pourras toujours supprimer le proprio et revenir au pilote libre.

Le Windows risque de ne pas apprécier ce changement de disque dur, il n'a pas les mêmes flexibilités au niveau des pilotes. Au pire clone ta partition Linux avec CloneZila et met la sur le disque dur du nouvel ordinateur portable.

Non  c'est le Windows qui risque de ne pas retrouver ses petits dans un nouveau Pc. Ubuntu lui il s'en fout, sauf pilote propriétaire, que tu peux désactiver avant le changement de machine. Pour Windows tu risques de devoir réinstaller plusieurs pilotes : carte graphique et autres.

Je sais pas si c'est une bonne idée, l'actuel est sous vista  et je vois le bios au démarrage, le nouveau est sous win 8 et je ne vois pas de bios au démarrage.

Je pense qu'l vaut mieux partir sur une installe neuve sur le win 8 en dual boot.

Oui effectivement, si sur ton nouvel ordinateur W8 est préinstallé, le disque doit être configuré en GPT, pas sur que le clonage depuis un disque avec MBR marche dans ce cas là.

L'aval d'un membre confirmé dans le domaine serait apprécié !

Oui, je pense que le clonage est une mauvaise idée. Par contre, le projet initial ("prendre mon disque dur actuel et le mettre dans le nouveau PC sans rien faire d'autre") doit fonctionner mais avec une contrainte : pour démarrer sur Windows 8, il faudra que le "Bios" soit sur le mode EFI alors que pour démarrer sur Linux qui se trouve sur l'ancien disque il faudra que le "Bios" soit sur le mode non-EFI. Pour supprimer cette contrainte, il faudrait que Linux soit installé en mode EFI comme Windows 8 (voir mon tuto "Installer Ubuntu en mode EFI ou en mode BIOS")

Bonjour,

En fait j'ai mùon vieux PC en dual boot avec ubuntu 14.04 et vista.
Le nouveau PC, avec  windows 8 préinstallé avec démarrage UEFI.

Je prend mon ancien dique dur avec vista et que je le met dans le nouveau PC est-ce que ça marche ?
Pas de soucis non plus avec windows et le numéro de série du PC ?

Je vois ce que tu veux dire mabo, mais c'est un portable, je n'ai pas deux slots de dispos, par contre ton message me donne des idées.
Est-ce qu'au niveau du connecteur du lecteur CD les débits et formats de prise (SATA ?) sont exactement les mêmes qu'au niveau disque dur ?

Mais en mode EFI, avec deux système d'exploitation sur deux disque dur, comment le système fait pour choisir sur lequel se lancer et proposer le GRUB du choix du système d'exploitation ?

Désolé, j'avais supposé que tu pouvais avoir deux disques durs dans ce nouvel ordi. Si tu ne peux en avoir qu'un seul, je ne comprends pas pourquoi tu veux remplacer le disque actuel par ton ancien disque. Si tu as Vista dessus, il doit être bien fatigué cet ancien disque dur... C'est parce que tu n'aimes pas Windows 8 ou quoi ? Explique.

Oui, Windows 8, j'ai du mal.......
Et j'utilise un logiciel sous vista, c'est la seule raison pour laquelle j'ai conservé windows, je ne sais pas s'il va passer sous windows 8 en plus (il faut que je fasse l'essai).
De plus entre vista et Ubuntu il n'y avait pas photos en facilité, plantage, rapidité etc......
Windows 8 il est vrai que je ne connais pas.

Oui le disque dur est (vieux) de 2008 en effet.

Je suis en train de créer le support de restauration du nouveau PC.
Est-ce que si jamais je change le disque dur ça va marcher ? Actuellement c'est un 500Go, est-ce que je peux me servir du point de restauration pour refaire une installation propre sur un autre disque dur ou un SSD (128Go) plus petit sans soucis ?

Il y a actuellement 70Go sur le disque dur en deux partitions, une de 47Go avec 25Go de libre pour la partie restauration, et l'autre pour le système windows.

Salut,

Essaies déjà d'installer ton logiciel sur Windows 8 et si ça fonctionne installe Ubuntu a coté de Windows 8 qui est quand même mieux que Vista
Windows 8 ,un peu perturbant au début mais on s'y habitue quand même surtout si ce n'est que pour utiliser qu'un seul logiciel
Un vieux DD plus un os lourd et ringard c'est pas top

Bon, logiciel installé, et impeccable ça marche !

Du coup au niveau de Windows 8, vu que nous l'utilisons que pour de la bureautique, et de l'internet, est-ce qu'il ne sera pas trop chiant : lent, X longues mises à jours, X plantages, risques de virus ?

C'est ceci qui m'avait fait fuir  les windows pour ubuntu, sur le netbook de ma compagne j'ai mis Xubuntu car Windows était bien trop lent et inexploitable confortablement.

Finalement, je me demande si windows 8 nous convient et en fonction des avis si je ne vais pas laisser ce PC là-dessus uniquement.

Si tu ne fais que de la navigation sur Internet et de la bureautique, il n'y a pas vraiment d'intérêt à garder Windows 8.

A ta place, j'aurais juste mis en place Ubuntu. Ensuite, tu installes Virtualbox pour créer une machine virtuelle dans laquelle tu mets le windows de ton choix. A l'intérieur de la machine virtuelle, tu fais tourner le logiciel dont tu as besoin. D'ailleurs c'est quoi ce logiciel ? Si c'est un jeu, le dual boot peut se justifier.

Oui, pourquoi pas en effet. Mais je crains les soucis de compatibilité.
En réfléchissant bien ça fait trois programmes qui marchent que sous windows, un logiciel de compta, un logiciel pour lire les codes défauts des autos et faire les RAZ maintenance et l'autre......ah les GPS à mettre à jour.
Je pense avoir fait le tour.

Pour quelle raison conseillerez tu plus Ubuntu à windows pour ce genre d'usage là ?

.ah les GPS à mettre à jour.

impossible a mettre à jour avec ubuntu ,il faut mieux garder windows pour ça
de toute façon windows8 une fois passer l'écran d'accueil avec les "tuiles" ---> cliquer sur "Bureau" et c'est pareil que vista ou win7 (enfin pour le peu que je m'en sert)

Je tente actuellement installation propre comme j'avais sur le vieux PC avec les deux en dual boot, j'espère que ça va bien se passer.....

Oui en effet c'est "pareil", que les précédnts windows, mais si je pouvais avoir Ubuntu comme avant ce serait pas mal.

Bonjour,

Installation faite, par contre j'arrive pas à lancer Ubuntu :'-(
Je lance le PC, il m'emmène sur la page ou il propose ubuntu ou windows 8, si je lance ubuntu ça tombe en erreur.
Pour lancer windows pas de soucis.

J'ai essayé de lancer boot repair avec le cd d'installation en mode livre, mais je n'arrive meme pas à trouver boot repair :'-(

Si quelqu'un a une idée ?

J'ai bien install"é ubuntu en mode EFI, j'ai bien passé dans le bios en disabled le secure boot, et j'ai désactivé le démarrage rapide de windows 8.

Merci pour le lien, mais dans mon cas à l'allumage le PC me propose bien ubuntu et windows 8, mais n'arrive pas à se lancer en ubuntu.
Pourtant en live cd tout à l'air correct côté ubuntu.

Tu pourrais la refaire plus lentement ? Dans ton post #23, je suppose qu'il faut comprendre que la réparation réalisée par Boot-Repair n'a apporté aucune amélioration. C'est exact ?
Peux-tu confirmer que tu as appliqué tout ce qui est préconisé dans le paragraphe 6. Contourner le démarrage forcé sur Windows 8 ? Si oui, c'est vraiment une usine à gaz pour pas grand chose. Tu aurais dû te contenter de ce qui est mentionné dans la note au début dudit paragraphe : 

Cette méthode de contournement du bridage des ordis HP est à réserver aux utilisateurs confirmés. Pour les novices, il est préférable d'en rester à la configuration obtenue après installation de Ubuntu :
- démarrage par défaut sur Windows 8
- pour aller sur Ubuntu : appui sur la touche Echap au démarrage puis sur la touche F9 et sélection de "ubuntu" dans le menu de démarrage

D'autant que l'appui sur F9 permet d'accéder directement au Boot menu d'après ce que j'ai lu sur ce forum (pas besoin de faire touche Echap puis touche F9).
