[RESOLU] config de grub après installation UEFI d'ubuntu 14.04.3
Bonjour à tous.
Ce post fait suite à celui-là qui traite de l'installation de linux mint 17.3 (basé sur ubuntu 14.04.3) en dual-boot avec win 8.1, mais aussi d'un ubuntu 14.10 en dual-boot avec un win 8.1
Le win 8.1 est préinstallé (donc en UEFI), et la version d'ubuntu ou mint est installée en Legacy malheureusement donc ce lien traite en partie de la conversion d'ubuntu en UEFI.
Après cette conversion réussie (merci malbo !), j'ai le bios qui est repassé automatiquement en CSM désactivé.
Par contre j'ai des entrées bizarres, et vu que c'est le pc de mon père, j'aimerais que ce soit plus lisible :

où "Ubuntu" lance mon linux mint 17.3
et "Windows Boot Manager (on /dev/sda1)" lance win 8.1
J'ai quelques questions de détails :
1° Serait-il possible de renommer ces entrées ? Je savais le faire, mais avec toutes les modif faites en 3 jours, je ne sais plus du tout où est installé grub et puis c'est peut-être davantage risqué maintenant ?
2° À quoi servent les autres entrées ? Je veux bien les tester mais j'aimerai d'abord avoir la confirmation que je ne risque pas de faire de bêtises !
3° Lors de la prochaine mise à jour de linux mint ou grub, est-ce que ce menu risque de changer à nouveau ?
4° Corollaire : lors d'un upgrade de linux mint (passage à la version 14... qui n'existe pas encore), est-ce que le grub ne risque pas d'être réinstallé et donc que je perde ces réglages bien particuliers ?
5° Je viens d'apprendre que site de linux mint a été piraté justement ce week-end et que la version que j'ai téléchargée est justement celle qui a été modifiée par le pirate informatique...... chouette alors ! Puis-je réinstaller linux mint sans mettre le bazar dans mon grub ? (en mode uefi bien sûr, donc à partir d'une clef usb car je n'arrive pas à booter en uefi à partir du dvd).
6° Malbo, est-ce qu'il y a un moyen de te rémunérer ? Quand je vois que tu es présent sur tous les post qui parlent de UEFI, ça impressionne !
Je ne peux pas poster avant 17h mon boot-info de mon linux mint fraichement installé car je ne suis pas à la maison.

Il serait possible de supprimer cette verrue inutile ce qui ferait disparaître du menu Grub les entrées suivantes :
- Windows UEFI bootmgfw.efi
- Windows Boot UEFI loader
- EFI/ubuntu/MokManager.efi
Cela étant, comme il semble que tu te prépares à réinstaller (c'est ce que je comprends de ce post ici), je te prie d'éviter d'utiliser Boot-Repair parce que tu peux voir que ça laisse un tas de cochonnerie sans pour autant résoudre le problème. Donc si tu as un souci après réinstallation, poste seulement ton Boot-Info mais ne fais pas de "réparation recommandée" de Boot-Repair.

J'ai profité du fait que j'allais réinstaller linux mint pour tester quelques opérations :
en utilisant grub-customizer à partir de linux mint installé, j'ai réussi à supprimer les 3 entrées inutiles que tu m'as indiquées, et à renommer les autres !
Je compte bien réinstaller à partir d'une clef USB car j'arrive à la booter en mode UEFI alors que pour le DVD, je n'y arrive pas.
Comme ça, j'éviterai d'utiliser boot-repair ! Enfin j'espère...
Je ne comprends pas pourquoi tu dis que boot-repair n'a pas résolu le problème puisque ça a été mon salvateur pour accéder à win 8.1 ou linux mint à partir du même menu. Bon OK ça a rajouté quelques cochonneries en passage, c'est vrai...
OK compris : je poste boot-info avant toute opération avec boot-repair.

Bon, tout va bien !
J'ai fait comme j'ai dit dans le message #4 : et tout fut tellement simple !!!
J'ai bien vérifié que la session live était bootée en UEFI avec boot-info, et lors du redémarrage, tout fonctionnait : grub présent, entrées pour linux mint et pour windows qui fonctionnent ! En fait, j'ai l'impression que les entrées que j'avais déjà (et un peu modifiées avec grub-customizer) sont restées telles quelles.
Du coup, je n'ai même pas eu à lancer boot-repair.
Dire qu'en 1h j'ai fait l'équivalent de ce que j'avais fait en 1 week-end !
C'est marrant, j'étais persuadé que grub-customizer ne te plairait pas. Je suis assez réticent d'utiliser des logiciels qui font pleins de choses sans savoir vraiment ce qui est fait (surtout que pour revenir en arrière c'est impossible !), mais lorsque j'ai commencé à lire la doc sur la configuration de grub et que la modification des titres des entrées ne me semblait pas si évidente, j'avoue que j'ai craqué... Désolé si je t'ai vexé.
Ce que je retiens de tout ça et qui peut servir à d'autres :
1° attention si win 8 (ou supérieur) est préinstallé : il faut alors veiller à installer ubuntu ou linux mint en UEFI absolument
2° les live-cd c'est pourri car c'est lent et que tous les ordinateurs n'acceptent pas de les démarrer en UEFI. Vive les live-USB qui n'ont pas ce problème (chez moi en tous cas) !!

Non, je ne suis pas vexé, c'est seulement que je ne veux pas passer après grub-customizer. Quand je vois les grosses traces de bottes laissées par cette daube dans une installation, je laisse tomber. J'ai déjà assez avec les anomalies créées par Boot-Repair (voir "verrue inutile" en bas du post #3) sans me prendre le chou avec grub-customizer.
La question 6 est sans objet : je suis bénévole comme tous ceux qui aident dans le forum ubuntu-fr

Quand on n'est pas expert, c'est dur de savoir que tel ou tel logiciel laisse des traces de boue...
Je créerai une page sur l'Asus X555 dès que j'aurais fini toutes les petites configurations (boutons de fonctions et cie).
