Bonjour,
J'ai effectué une remise à niveau de 14.04 vers la 16.04. plutôt laborieuse et à rebondissements: Instabilité aléatoires
L'installation en ligne s'est à priori bien passée mais au démarrage tout s'est affolé, des lignes de codes défilant à grande vitesses, parfois un son aigu pendant 30 secondes, et pour finir la page ubuntu se met en place malgré tout avec le bureau intacte... Ouf !
Ensuite, c'est l'utilisation du pointeur qui s'affole et plus moyen de cliquer sur quoique ce soit. Arrêt forcé.
Après un redémarrage, les choses redeviennent normale 1 fois sur deux. J'en suis à laisser mon ordi allumé 24h sur 24 lorsque j'ai une utilisation stable et correcte où tout marche correctement. Comme s'il corrigeait de lui même des erreures mais qui semblent revenir régulièrement.
Bref ! j'aimerai pouvoir résoudre ce problème car j'ai peur de tout perdre.
J'ai essayé de trouver des infos à travers le forum mais rien de comparable a été cité.
Refaire une installation à partir du CD me fait un peu peur.
Je ne sais pas quoi faire. Y a t'il moyen de réparer ce qui est en place ?
J'ai commandé le CD ce jour au cas ou.
J'espère avoir écrit ce message là où il fallait et peut-être n'ai je pas trouvé les bonnes infos déjà traitées.

Bonjour malbo,
Merci de me venir en aide.
Je ne suis pas familiarisé au vocabulaire employé. J'ai un peu de mal à comprendre comment il faut procéder malgré l'indication que tu m'as donnée et consultée.
Peux-tu me détailler un peu cela (les étapes des procédures) appliquées à mon cas s'il te plait si ce n'est pas trop te demander ?

Laisse tomber provisoirement ma demande du post #2.
Depuis une session de ton Ubuntu installé, fais un Boot-Info et donne l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse à ce post.

OK , rien à faire pour le moment.
Donc j'attends Le cd d'installation que j'ai commandé et je procède à la réinstallation.
J'ai regardé le lien fourni. Le login, il y a bien longtemps que je ne l'ai pas utilisé, pour le mot de passe, c'est OK.
Tant que je te tiens, peux tu juste me donner la commande terminal pour que je puisse le retrouver.
Normalement si je procède ainsi, cela devrait éliminer les erreures internes ? si j'ai bien compris ?
J'espère que ça va aller. Je ne suis pas prêt de recommencer une telle remise à niveau, c'est désastreux et source de perte de temps que je ne peux me permettre.
Quel dommage pour Ubuntu qui est un système merveilleux mais qui manifestement a encore bien des problèmes à résoudre.

Pas besoin de taper la moindre commande. Il suffit d'ouvrir un terminal et ça se voit dans l'invite de commande.

La reinstallation est une mauvaise idée dans 99% des cas.
L'idéal serait d'ouvrir un Bug sur launchpad afin que l'on puisse comprendre ton problème.
Ensuite une mise a jour viendrait corriger ce problème.

Bonjour Malbo,
mon matériel est un portable TOSHIBA Satellite C870-145.
Pas du haut de gamme mais pas de soucis depuis des années.
Pour l'histoire du Bug sur launchpad proposé par freechelmi, un bonjour et un merci de ton aide au passage, je suis OK , mais là aussi, je ne connais pas la procédure.
Je suis tout ouïe pour faire ce qu'il faut et encore mieux que cela puisse aider d'autres qui ont les mêmes genre de soucis selon Mudochon que je salue au passage.

J'essaye de photographier ce qui se passe au démarrage et à l'arrêt. c'est très furtif et le son est strident jusqu'à l'ouverture du bureau finalement stable ou non çà dépend.
Est ce que cela pourrait vous aider ?

En examinant ton Boot-Info (post #6), je vois que tu avais auparavant Ubuntu 14.04 en version de base, c'est à dire équipée d'un noyau 3.13.0-x. Cette version est maintenue jusqu'en Avril 2019 comme l'indique ce graphique - les deux branches du haut avec "(V3.13)" - qui est issu de la doc LTS Enablement Stack. Pourquoi es-tu passé à la version 16.04 alors que tu pouvais encore rester avec la version 14.04 pendant 2 ans et demie ?

Je pense que c'est faisable mais je ne cherche pas à le faire : je fais du test avec cette installation donc je ne trafique pas le paramétrage par défaut. Cela me permet d'apprécier le harcèlement pratiqué par Ubuntu pour forcer le passage à 16.04 : monsieur Michu (ou Madame) doit finir par accepter à l'usure...

Exactement , c'est bien pour cela que je suis passé à la 16.04 de la 14.04 et depuis quelques mois après avoir refusé la mise à jour sur un autre ordi (j'en ai trois sur Ubuntu !) pour des raisons de mauvaise connexion depuis l'Asie, très souvent malgré cela on me redemande d'effectuer la mise à niveau. Il suffit de savoir qu'il ne faut pas forcément le faire.
Voilà ce que j'ai pu capturé :

Je ne sais pas si c'est la cause du problème. D'autres choses défilent selon les cas difficiles à capter.
Ce type de message existait sur la version 14.04 uniquement sur l'ordi que j'utilise actuellement. le fameux ':wq!' bad line.
Sur un autre que j'ai en Asie, j'ai autre chose qui s'affiche de façon furtive également mais qui ne perturbe pas l'ouverture d'Ubuntu.
Apparemment des résidus d'erreures restent d'une version à l'autre et finissent par poser des problèmes.

Oui, ça fonctionne. Après cela, on n'est plus embêté à chaque démarrage avec le pop-up d'invitation à passer à 16.04.

Moi, je maintiens la proposition de réinstallation de 16.04 que je t'ai faite dans le post #6. Je n'ai pas autre chose à proposer dans l'immédiat.

Je ne fais pas d'expérimentations sur mon ordi et ça n'est pas un joujou avec lequel je peux me permettre de jouer aux apprentis sorciers. J'utilise Ubuntu depuis des années pour sa fiabilité en sérieuses situations, bravo à tous au passage. Stabilité/sécurité ( navigation pro en mer par ex.) que je n'ai pas avec windows.
Aussi j'attends une alternative sure et fiable. Est-ce trop demander ?
Le retour à la case 14.04 LTS n'est-elle pas préférable ?
L'erreur signalée au post #19 n'est pas remédiable ?

Si tu préfères réinstaller Ubuntu 14.04 plutôt que 16.04, je peux te donner des instructions pour le faire et t'aider en cas de problème.

Bonjour malbo,
Le temps passe et c'est de pire en pire. Problèmes de clavier. Je reviens donc répondre à ton dernier message. Je suis prêt pour revenir à la 14.04.
Tu me proposais de me donner les instructions pour, je suis à l'écoute.
Peut-etre est-il préférable d'ouvrir une nouvelle discussion ?
Donc je suis en Dual boot avec Windows 7 et souhaite y rester.
J'espère que les erreures signalées vont être éliminées.
J'attends tes instructions
