Echec de l'installation d'Ubuntu 16 en remplacement de Windows 10

Bonjour,

J'ai récemment acheté un ordinateur Acer, fourni avec Windows 10.
Souhaitant le faire fonctionner sous Ubuntu 16, je me suis créé une clé USB d'installation et j'ai commencé une installation en choisissant l'option "installer en remplacement de Windows 10".

Après de nombreux essais, j'ai suivi le tutoriel de partitionnement manuel.
Quand on me le demande, j'effectue un redémarrage et j'aboutit sur une page qui me propose uniquement de booter sur ma clé USB, j'éteins, je rallume ... et j'ai un écran "no boot device" !
Je ré-éteins, je remets la clé, je rallume, je ré-essaie d'installer ... et là on me propose d'installer Ubuntu à la place d'Ubuntu 16 !

Donc, j'ai apparemment installé Ubuntu 16 comme prévu (en indiquant une partition de swap, une de root et une de boot) mais je n'arrive pas à booter dessus ... Que dois-je faire ? Ou se trouve mon erreur ?

Est-ce que ça viendrait uniquement du boot order ?

Vérifie dans ton bios si tu peux modifier le chargeur de démarrage pour sélectionner celui d'Ubuntu. Vois cette procédure https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.p … #p21468818

Si ça ne marche pas désactive l'UEFI et installe en mode Legacy.

Super, merci ça marche !
J'ai eu un écran bleu au premier redémarrage après ça mais maintenant tout semble normal : je démarre --> écran Acer --> fond violet --> l'écran de connexion à ma session.

Encore merci, je n'avais fait que des installations en parallèle de Windows jusqu'à présent et ça m'avait demandé moi de boulot/recherche sur le net.

Sauf erreur, je crois qu'il y a une grosse connerie :
- dans le fstab, on peut voir ceci qui concerne le montage de la partition /boot :

# /boot was on /dev/sda2 during installation

- dans la partie blkid, on a confirmation que cet UUID (identifiant de la partition) est bien celui de la partition /dev/sda2 :

- dans la partie "parted -l", on peut voir que cette partition /dev/sda2 fait 240 Go :

C'est anormal d'avoir une partition /boot de 240 Go : la taille de cette partition ne devrait pas excéder 1 Go (voir doc).

Je t'invite à refaire ton installation en sélectionnant "Effacer le disque et installer Ubuntu" (tout ce qu'il y a actuellement sur le disque sera écrasé) à l'étape Type d'installation mais SANS cocher la case "Chiffrer la nouvelle installation de Ubuntu pour la sécurité" et SANS cocher la case "Utiliser LVM pour la nouvelle installation de Ubuntu" (ces deux options sont merdiques).

EDIT : pourrais-tu donner le nom complet du modèle de ton ordi ?

C'est un Acer Aspire E 17, E5-774G-384B, avec un unique disque SSD de 256 Go.

Pour la taille des disques, j'ai tant bien que mal essayé de suivre le tuto sur la façon de choisir soi-même comment partitionner son disque.

J'ai essayé de refaire l'installation mais maintenant les conseils donnés au-dessus ne marchent plus : je n'ai plus HDD0 dans la liste des boot possible et quand je démarre l'ordi j'ai un message "default boot device missing or boot failed. Insert recovery media ....".

Ben oui mais tu l'as mal suivi comme j'ai indiqué dans le post #4. C'est la raison pour laquelle je te recommande l'installation automatique "Effacer le disque et installer Ubuntu" : l’installateur de Ubuntu, il ne va pas se tromper entre les Mo et les Go et il va donner un résultat parfait. 

D'autre part, les caractéristiques de ton modèle Acer Aspire E5-774G-384B sont visibles sur cette page : on y voit que ce modèle est équipé d'un processeur Intel Core i3-6100U et d'une carte graphique dédiée NVIDIA GeForce 940MX.
EDIT : je viens d'ajouter le modèle Aspire E5-774G-384B dans la Liste des portables « Acer »

Ok .... mais concrètement, pourquoi je n'arrive toujours pas à booter sans la clé USB d'installation et que je n'arrive plus à suivre la méthode donnée par Laurent85 plus haut ?

Edit :

Bon, j'ai remis les paramètres de sécurité d'usine puis refait la procédure UEFI et ça semble marcher.
Et si je regarde les propriétés d'"ordinateur" dans fichiers, j'ai ces informations :
capacité totale : 243,1 GO
4,8 Go utilisés
225,8 Go libres
type de système de fichiers : ext3/ext4

Tout semble bon donc, non ?

Je crois comprendre que tu as fait une installation toute neuve. Si c'est bien le cas, je te prie de faire un Boot-Info depuis une session de ton Ubuntu installé et de donner l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse.
