Problème général après une installation Live USB
Bonjour,
J'ai enfin réussi à installer Ubuntu MATE sur mon Asus GL552VW-DM009T.
L'install s'est passée sans encombre, bien que longue, aucun problème lors du premier lancement.
J'ai installé deux/trois petites choses, et j'ai pu vite me rendre compte que l'environnement plante, un peu aléatoirement, et je ne sais pas d'où cela peut provenir.
Avez-vous une astuce qui me permettrais de détecter les soucis ?
Je précise que je débarque sur Linux, j'utilise Ubuntu Unity depuis 3 mois, je m'en sors plutôt bien, je ne comprends pas ce qui ce passe sur cette distribution en particulier.
Si vous avez besoin de plus de précisions, n'hésitez surtout pas !

Les plantages en question se traduisent comment ? système qui freeze ? logiciels (lesquels) qui plantent en pleine utilisation ? messages d'alerte intermittents (notamment après le boot) qui te disent "Ubuntu a rencontré une erreur interne" ? autre chose ?

Je vous répond actuellement depuis Windows, j'étais sur MATE, lancée depuis 15 minutes et je n'ai eu qu'un seul problème, que j'ai déjà pu constaté : L'écran "Bienvenue" qui se pop au démarrage du système refuse de se fermer depuis la croix rouge, il me génère une erreur et je dois le "forcer" à quitter. Cette fois, il s'est bien fermé, mais ça n'a pas été le cas il y a quelques jours lors de mon install.
Le WIFI a ensuite planté, impossible de me déconnecter pour me reconnecter ensuite, j'avais un message d'erreur au bout de quelques minutes.
Pour répondre à abelthorne, tu as tout bon !
Voici la liste des logiciels que j'ai installé :
- J'ai tout d'abord commencé par un apt-get update et dist-upgrade
- Ensuite MAJ de ma CG Nvidia, puis
- Terminator
- Apache2
- PHPStorm
- Chrome
Ensuite, pour le système qui freeze, j'ai l'impression que c'est en rapport avec la barre des taches, celle qui se trouve en haut de l'écran, je me souviens avoir voulu y placer des raccourcies, j'ai eu des erreurs, j'ai voulu rebooter la machine, et c'est en appuyant sur le bouton Power en haut à droite pour afficher le menu, que la machine a plantée, obligé de forcer l'arrêt avec une pression longue sur mon bouton physique.
J'ai également un problème lors du redémarrage, l'écran passe au noir avec un underscore blanc en haut à gauche, il clignote, mais refuse de s'éteindre, je dois également forcer l'arrêt.
Petite variante, l'écran est éteint, mais la machine tourne encore : je force encore.
Voilà pour un résumé, la machine a plantée deux fois lors de la rédaction de ces quelques lignes.
Pour répondre à malbo, la première tentative s'est soldée par un freeze, il était tard donc j'ai retenté à l'instant, et j'ai lancé l'examen immédiatement, qui a pu aller jusqu'au bout !

Le driver NVIDIA n'est pas utilisé (*). Je te prie de lancer l'application "Logiciels & Mises à jour" et d'aller dans l'onglet "Pilotes additionnels" (ça doit ressembler à cette vue). Décris ce qu'il y a dans cette fenêtre ou prends une photo et poste-la (voir 4.4 Insérer une image). En principe, tu aurais dû cocher la case "utilisation de NVIDIA binary driver..." mais il est possible que tu aies laissé cochée la case "utilisation de X.org X server - Nouveau display driver...".
(*) ça se voit à plein d'endroits dans le rapport mais si tu fais une recherche des occurrences de "nvidia" dans la partie "Modules Loaded" (modules chargés) du rapport, tu verras que tu n'as aucun module nvidia chargé. Tu pourras comparer avec ce que tu es sensé obtenir si le driver NVIDIA était utilisé en recherchant ces mêmes occurrences dans le rapport Bisnext de ce post de Nzokal qui a la même carte graphique GTX 960M : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.p … #p21722638

Merci pour le rapport, j'avais des soucis d'affichage en utilisant les balises "code"...
Effectivement, j'avais téléchargé le pilote mais j'avais zappé de l'activer.
Je l'ai donc mis sur "Nvidia binary driver", quelques minutes le temps de charger, j'ai reboot, puis fais un apt-get update/dist-upgrade histoire d'être totalement à jour, et là je poste depuis MATE.
J'ai un icone Nvidia qui est apparut, et pour le moment, aucun souci à déplorer.

Bonjour,
Pour ce qui est de la gestion de l'affichage, ton rapport Bisnext du post #6 me parait conforme au rapport Bisnext de Nzokal (ICI) que je t'avais indiqué dans le post #5. Je pense donc que c'est correct mais je ne suis pas spécialiste en problèmes graphiques.
Je te prie de passer en "résolu" la présente discussion en procédant comme suit :
1) te connecter sur le forum
2) cliquer sur "Modifier" en bas à droite de ton PREMIER post
3) modifier le titre de la discussion pour qu'il devienne :
[Résolu] Problème général après une installation Live USB
EDIT : je viens de compléter la ligne concernant le modèle GL552VW-DM009T dans la Liste des portables « Asus » pour y mentionner ton cas.

J'ai quand même un doute que ça vienne du pilote graphique : Nouveau n'est pas terrible mais de là à faire freezer le système... En revanche, ça pourrait être une bonne idée de vérifier la RAM à l'occasion. En tout cas, j'attendrais un peu avant de passer le sujet en résolu, ça ne m'étonnerait pas que le problème resurgisse...
Autre chose : sur MATE, par défaut, c'est le compositeur de Marco (le gestionnaire de fenêtres) qui est utilisé et il est assez mal foutu. Je te conseille d'utiliser plutôt Compton s'il est disponible sur ta version d'Ubuntu MATE. Tu peux aller jeter un coup d'œil à MATE Tweak : je ne sais plus exactement où se trouve l'option en question, cherche un menu déroulant qui est sur "Marco (avec composition logicielle)" et regarde si tu as un choix du genre "Marco (avec Compton)" dedans. S'il n'est pas disponible dans la liste, ce ne serait pas une mauvaise idée de l'installer et de l'utiliser à la place de Marco.
