Dell Inspiron 15-3552 Installation 16.04 [RESOLU]
Bonjour à tous,
J'ai acheté un Inspiron 15-3552 de chez Dell en septembre 2016 sous Ubuntu 14.04
Préférant la version 16.04 que j'ai déjà sur mon propre PC, j'ai voulu faire la màj en ligne... Lors de l'installation un succession de bug ont rendu l'installation impossible, j'ai donc décidé de revenir à 14.04 grâce au mode recovery intégré dans le pc d'origine.
Tout allait à peu près bien jusqu'à la mise à jour du Kernel ces derniers jours, et là il ne voulait redemarrer qu'en mode graphic low...
En cherchant un peu j'ai vu que mon cas n'était pas isolé... que visiblement ce modèle avait des soucis de màj.
N'y connaissant pas grand chose, je me suis dit que je ferais mieux de repartir de rien et installer 16.04 en live usb à partir d'une clé qui m'avait déjà servi pour mon pc qui marche à merveille.
Et là... catastrophe, l'ordinateur démarre en mode "SupportAssist", fait une anayse et me dit que la version de l'OS n'est pas l'originale...
Je ne sais pas quoi faire!

Bon alors... je ne sais pas comment j'ai fait, en désespoir de cause, j'ai regardé le BIOS...
et je me suis demandé ce que voulait dire Bios UEFI,
je me suis dit alors que si le système bloquait c'était parceque Dell avait mis une sécurité empêchant d'implanter un autre système d'exploitation que le sien...
J'ai donc décidé de choisir autre chose que UEFI... et bien m'en a pris, puisque système ignore l'ordre imposé par Dell et boot sur la nouvelle version d'Ubuntu!
Par contre au démarrage ça perd un peu en esthétique... mais peu importe.

Je souhaiterais renseigner ton expérience dans la ligne du modèle "Inspiron 15 Série 3000 3552" de la Liste des portables « Dell »
Je te prie de faire un Boot-Info depuis une session de ton Ubuntu fraîchement installé et de donner l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse. Cela me permettra de vérifier la version exacte (*) de Ubuntu que tu as installée, le mode de démarrage et d'autres détails.
(*) tu as peut-être installé la version 16.04.3 alors que la version la plus adaptée à ton ordi est 16.04.1 et d'autre part, tu as peut-être installé une version 32 bits au lieu de 64 bits.

Bonsoir Malbo,
Pour plus de précision, j'ai choisi dans le boot du bios en boot list option "Legacy" au lieu de "UEFI"
Je ne sais pas si le boot info que tu me demandes sera utile car depuis j'ai installé des maj et des programmes. Ma clé usb contient 16.04.1 en 64b.
J'espère que ça pourra servir... sachant que je suis vraiment pas doué.

L'installation de Ubuntu est bien une installation en mode non-EFI comme tu l'as indiqué.
On peut voir que les noyaux installés sont de la famille 4.4.0-x ce qui prouve que c'est bien la version 16.04.1 qui est installée. C'est parfait. C'est la version de base - sans "Rolling HWE Stacks" - qui convient à ton ordi. Et le Boot-Info indique bien que c'est la version 64 bits. Par contre, j'aurais besoin d'une confirmation : est-ce que cette installation est chiffrée ou non ?
EDIT : je viens de mentionner ton expérience dans la ligne du modèle "Inspiron 15 Série 3000 3552" de la Liste des portables « Dell »

C'est un sans-faute. Le chiffrement de l'installation est une daube et je le déconseille soigneusement à chaque fois que j'en ai l'occasion.

Bonjour j'ai le même Inspiron 15-3552 de chez Dell sous Ubuntu 14.04, j'ai tenté une mise à jour vers la 16.04 qui a foiré. Un écran de démarrage avec la couleur de fond de Unity et rien pour se logger, un vrai cauchemar. J'ai envisagé de réinstaller et déposer le disque pour récupérer mes fichiers à partir d'un autre PC (Mageia) là impossible de récupérer les fichiers cachés, .thunderbird, .mozilla, .skype, j'ai remonté le disque et réinstallé à côté la 16.04 pour ne pas écraser les fichiers et là impossible encore de récupérer ces fichiers que je vois sans pouvoir les copier. Je trouve curieux qu'on ne puisse réinstaller Ubuntu sans écraser le dossier Home.

Je suis dans la même situation, ordi planté, DVD bootable non operationnel, j'ai commencé une discussion ici :

je n'ai pas sauvegardé mes données avant de tenter la mise à jour, donc je suis super emmerdé.
Je ne trouve pas de CD boot version 16.04.1 sur les sites de téléchargement...
