je voulais dire au post #25, que rien ne voulais s'installer, efi ou bios,
le seul os qui est finalement passé est mate.
Les live usb d'hier soir n'ont pas été concluant, toujours les plantages aléatoires, mais bien souvent cela se passe avant l'étape
"essayer ou installer". Ou bien quand il y arrive, la souris disparaît après un clic.
Ce matin, 9 démarrage ont été nécessaires.
asus-K52Jr, Xubuntu 18.04.1 LTS,
Processor : 4x Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 480 @ 2.67GHz
ATI mobility radeon HD 5470 graphics 1GB

Peux tu confirmer que tu as cette machine https://www.asus.com/fr/Laptops/K52Jr/specifications/, en particulier la génération de l'i3 et la carte graphique.
On va regarder dans tes logs :

Tu vas passer ce paramètre à grub : radeon.runpm=0
Dans un premier temps, tu vas le passer à la volée, et il faudra le faire à chaque reboot (redémarrage ou arrêt).
Voici la procédure :
Juste après que l'accès au bios a disparu (la première page qui s'affiche et qui te propose d'accéder au bios en appuyant sur suppr, F2...), tu appuies en permanence sur Echap ou Shift.
Dès que grub apparaît, appuyer sur 'e'
- descendre avec les touches (curseur) jusqu'à tomber sur
Linux /boot/vmlinuz...
- avec le curseur, le déplacer pour le mettre après splash.
- écrire "radeon.runpm=0" entre splash et la fin (---), avec un espace entre splash et radeon... et un espace entre 0 et ---. Remarque, il n'y a aucun espace dans radeon.runpm=0r (quand le clavier est un clavier AZERTY il faut taper rqdeon:runp,=à pour que s'affiche radeon.runpm=0)
- Bien vérifier que c'est radeon.runpm=0 qui s'affiche
- valider par F10
ok, c'est bon pour rqdeon:runp,=à, qu'il faut taper si tu as un clavier AZERTY.
Si ça fonctionne, tu appliques la procédure suivante pour modifier grub de manière pérenne :
Dans un shell d'une session normale :
sudo cp /etc/default/grub /etc/default/grub.old
sudo nano /etc/default/grubsur la ligne GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT, ajouterradeon.runpm=0
Ca doit donner quelque chose comme
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash radeon.runpm=0"
sauvegarder (ctrl o)
Entrée
quitter (ctrl x)
sudo update-grub
rebootTu vérifies que ça fonctionne...
EDIT : j'ai modifié casper par boot, casper c'est pour une session live, boot pour une qui est installée... Ca ne change rien dans ce que tu dois taper

Ce qui m'étonne, c'est que si les plantages ont parfois lieu avant même le démarrage du système, c'est que ça ne vient pas du pilote, mais bien du matériel en lui-même. Ça voudrait dire que la carte provoque un court-circuit, ou quelque chose de ce genre ?
As-tu une autre carte graphique que tu puisses essayer à la place de celle-ci ?

Je suis d'accord avec toi. Sur le matériel, on ne peut rien faire à distance et d'une carte graphique sur un portable, je ne sais pas faire
Donc, autant essayer de pousser au maximum l'investigation sur un problème de driver...

C'est vrai. Au pire, si cette piste des pilotes ne donne rien, on doit trouver des cartes graphiques basiques pour ordinateur portable sur leboncoin ou autre, pour quelques euros, histoire de faire un essai avec...

Merci pour le détail du matos du post #32. Ton processeur est bien le "Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 480 @ 2.67GHz" que tu as noté dans ta signature. J'ai trouvé que le nom plus connu de ce processeur est Intel Core i5-480M : sur cette page concernant le Intel Core i5-480M, on peut lire : "Other names: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 480 @ 2.67GHz". Ton processeur n'est donc pas un Intel Core i3 (comme supposé dans le post #28). Je crois qu'on ne saura jamais le nom complet de ton modèle : on se contentera de ASUS K52JR qui doit être une famille de modèles.

Je viens de modifier mon post précédent, j'avais écrit une bêtise, sans conséquence.
Essaye une dernière chose avec le driver :
modprobe.blacklist=radeon
Ca doit se taper :
,odprobe:blqcklist=rqdeon
Là on force à ce que le driver radeon ne soit pas chargé.
Autre question, fais tu tes mises à jour régulièrement?
Fais :
sudo apt update

écran allongé, et points qui clignotent au centre.
Je n'ai pas fais les dernières mises à jours, mais elles sont en cours.

Dans un premier temps, il faut confirmer qu'en blacklistant le driver radeon, ça fonctionne, même si l'écran n'est pas top. Si c'est confirmé, il faut trouver le paramètre du driver qui va bien (ou trouver un autre driver)
Je ne sais pas si nouveau prend en charge correctement cette carte graphique.
