ce sont les clés de crytage des mots de passe

Mozilla a changé et ça explique aussi les difficultés pour passer d'un profil créé dans une version key3 vers un profil dans une version utilisant key4

Exemple dans firefox je n'ai que key4 car je l'ai installé assez récemment

mon Thunderbird est ancien j'ai les 2, le profil a été créé avec une version Thunderbird utilisant key3 et Thunderbird a été upgradé depuis dans une version qui peut utiliser key4

Ça a peut-être été écrit quelque part dans ce long fil de 4 pages mais les comptes de ton TBird antérieur (je veux parler du profil que tu as récupéré)  étaient-ils en POP ou en IMAP. Et même s'il étaient en IMAP, avais-tu déplacé des messages dans des dossiers locaux ?

Parce que si c'était de l'IMAP et qu'aucun message n'a été déplacé vers des dossiers locaux (cela veut dire que tous tes messages sont toujours sur les serveurs), tu pourrais créer un nouveau profil tout neuf via le gestionnaire de profil et recréer chacun de tes comptes. C'est assez rapide.

Bon, c'est sûr que c'est un peu rageant de ne pas pouvoir récupérer un profil existant (ce qui est une des forces de TBird et Firefox) mais ce serait un moindre mal et tu repartirais sur un profil propre car celui que tu essaies de récupérer possède quelque part une corruption que nous ne sommes pas parvenus à déceler. sad


EDIT : Ah si, il y a un truc qu'on devait faire et qui ne l'a pas été, c'est ce qu'a proposé Nam au post #39, le safe-mode. Fais-le et donne le retour.

je viens de lancer TH en safe mode comme demandé et ça marche j'ai tout mes comptes avec mots de passe et tout mais tout les menu sont en anglais.

Alors, ce qui est curieux c'est que je t'avais demandé de faire un redémarrage de TBird après avoir désactivé TOUTES les extensions (post #38) et que ça n'avait pas donné de résultat...
Quand on redémarre en safe-mode, il y a non seulement les extensions qui sont désactivées mais aussi les packs de langue excepté l'anglais, les thèmes et certains paramètres graphique. Maintenant, il va falloir savoir qui est le coupable.
1/ As-tu des thèmes particuliers ?
2/ Quid de l'accélération graphique matérielle ? activée ? désactivée ? ( => ☰ (menu) > Préférences (Options) > dans la petite fenêtre qui vient de s'ouvrir => onglet "Avancé" > sous-onglet "Général" > Configuration avancée).


EDIT :
3/ une nouvelle piste suivant les messages d'erreur de ton retour de console (JavaScript error: jar:file:///usr/lib/thunderbird/omni.ja!/components/crypto-SDR.js, line 179: NS_ERROR_FAILURE: Couldn't decrypt string).

killall thunderbird
mv /home/frederic/.thunderbird/3ffmqj44.default/pkcs11.txt /home/frederic/.thunderbird/3ffmqj44.default/pkcs11.txt.bak

Redémarre TBird en mode normal

Salut,
j'avais un thème noia qui était désactivé je l'ai supprimé mais cela ne change rien, l’accélération graphique matérielle est désactivée.
Alors la trop fort après le passage de ta commande a priori ça marche sans soucis.
je ne clôt pas le sujet tout de suite au cas ou, mais que contient le fichier que tu m'as fait renommer par la dernière commande (si je ne trompe pas) pour mon info ?

Ce fichier pkcs11.txt est lié à NSS (Name Service Switch)

Bon je viens de faire la même manœuvre sur firefox suite au poste de Pipetix ici et firefox enregistre aussi les mots de passe ce dont je ne me sert pas mais au cas ou on sait jamais. Un grand merci a tous je passerai en résolus en début de semaine si tout vas bien.
