Bonjour,
Suite à ce problème de wifi, j'ai pendant longtemps utilisé un fil internet, ce qui m'a permis de ne pas être embêté.
Récemment mon ordi n'a plus voulu démarrer (cela faisait un moment que l'espace du DD était plein, je ne sais pas s'il y a un lien). Cela m'a motivé pour passer à une version de linux plus récente et donc pouvoir profiter du wifi par la même occasion (comme vous le préconisiez).
J'ai crée une clé USB bootable grâce aux indications sur le forum et j'ai pu accéder au DD du PC et sauvegarder mes donnes au préalable.
J'ai ensuite fait l'installation d'ubuntu et supprimant la vielle version.
Lorsque tout est terminée, je relance la machine et j'ai ce message d'erreur :
error unknown files system
redcue mode
grub rescue
Le problème à l'air assez commun donc suite a la lecture de plusieurs posts j'ai tenté 2, 3 choses malheureusement sans succès.

Bonjour,
Il semblerait que tu as fais une installation en mode UEFI avec un partitionnement ms-dos ce qui n'est pas correcte.
Et il reste une trace de ton ancien boot MBR qui ne trouve plus sa partition boot.
Je suggère de tenter une conversion du partionnement ms-dos en GPT avec
sudo apt-get install gdisk
sudo sgdisk --mbrtogpt /dev/sda
donner le retour de ces 2 commandes avant de passer à la suite !
Ensuite refaire un coup de "réparation recommandée" avec boot repair et donner le rapport boot info avant de tenter un redémarrage.
Et au démarrage s'assurer que ton bios va démarrer en mode UEFI sur ton disque et non en mode "legacy"

Ca semble bon. Si c'est pas trop tard faire un petit coup de
sudo partprobe
avant de faire la réparation recommandé (autrement on verra bien ce que ça donne)

Abonnement au sujet...
@ddlinux; lors de la réinstallation, tu as ajouté la partition boot-efi /dev/sda1?
On voit aussi la signature grub-efi inhabituelle dans le boot info.
sda6 : sda, not-sepboot, grubenv-ok grub2, signed grub-pc grub-efi , update-grub, 64,

J'ai découvert Ubuntu avec la 07.10.... Et alors?!... Depuis je regarde de temps en temps si Windows marche toujours....

Alors "sudo pqrtprobe" n'a aucun effet dans le terminal, j'imagine que c'est normal...
Et si j'ai ajouté la partition "boot-efi /dev/sda1" c'est involontaire ! Je suis pas très calé !

Je viens de refaire un coup de "réparation recommandée" avec boot repair. Et voici mon nouveau boot info
Petite parenthèse : pour faire la réparation recommandée avec boot repair je suis cette procédure mais cette commande
sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair && sudo apt update && sudo apt install -y boot-repair boot-info && sudo boot-repair
installe + lance boot repair. Peut être vaut-il mieux utiliser une commande qui lance seulement...? Ou ce n'est pas grave ?

Alors "sudo pqrtprobe" n'a aucun effet dans le terminal, j'imagine que c'est normal...
Effectivement, c'est normal. Mais dans le principe il vaut mieux me retourner le contenu du terminal avec la ligne d'invite suivante, que de me commenter le résultat
Allons y pour la réparation recommandée, sans oublier de poster le rapport boot info avant de tenter un redémarrage (sans attendre mon avis).

Ne reste plus qu'à tenter un redémarrage sur le dd en s'assurant donc qu'il se fait bien en mode UEFI (choisir "ubuntu" et non un disque)

@jamesbad; comment as-tu vu que le partitionnement n'était pas correct ? Dans le rapport boot-info, je vois un disque au format gpt. Ou j'ai raté quelque chose.

Petite parenthèse : pour faire la réparation recommandée avec boot repair je suis cette procédure mais cette commande
sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair && sudo apt update && sudo apt install -y boot-repair boot-info && sudo boot-repair
installe + lance boot repair. Peut être vaut-il mieux utiliser une commande qui lance seulement...? Ou ce n'est pas grave ?
effectivement une fois que c'est installé il suffit de juste la dernière partie
sudo boot-repair
Mais ce n'est pas grave, juste perte de temps à réinstaller à chaque fois

Bon ce n'est pas glorieux...
Suite à cela j'ai éteins le pc et enlevé la clé USB que j'utilise comme BOOT. Au redémarrage, j’appuie sur F2 pour entrer dans le bios et modifier pour que dans Boot séquence le redémarrage se fasse en mode UEFI (ubuntu coché). Je sors du BIOS et l'ordi s’éteint.
Je rallume et ne fais rien... mais une fois que le moment ou l'on peut entrer dans le BIOS est passé, l'écran reste noir (l'ordi reste allumé).
J'ai peut être mal compris/fais quelque chose...?
Pour info au cas où : pour utiliser mon ordi et donc le forum et faire les modifs que vous me donnez, j'utilise ma clé USB comme boot. Jusqu'à maintenant je démarrais avec :
UEFI BOOT :
UEFI : INT13(USB,0x80)
Mais maintenant j'utilise :
UEFI BOOT :
ubuntu
ça me permet d'avoir le clavier en azerty.

Ce que tu as fait me parait correcte. Et notamment d'avoir enlevé la clef pour éviter toute confusion...
Vérifie si le "secure boot" n'est pas activé dans le bios.
Et si après l'avoir désactivé ça ne fonctionne toujours pas tenter de refaire une "réparation recommendée"
(et toujours pense à poster le rapport boot info avant de tenter un redémarrage)

Je suis désolé mais je ne parviens pas à trouver comment désactiver le secure boot de mon PC... Impossible à trouver ! J'ai fait des recherches sur le net sans résultat car on trouve d'autres modèles ou le secure boot est évident.

Pourant quand je vois ça dans le boot info
grub-install --efi-directory=/boot/efi --target=x86_64-efi --uefi-secure-boot
J'ai bien l'impression qu'il est actif
J'ai souvenir que sur certain modèle pour désactiver le secure boot il faut activer la protection par mot de passe pour l'accès au bios. (en faisant bien attention à ce qu'on tape si c'est en mode aveugle, parce qu'après ça peut devenir compliqué...)
Autrement si on ne s'en sort pas comme ça il faudra changer notre fusil d'épaule :
démarrer sur le live cd en mode "legacy" et créer une partition "bios boot" avant de refaire une réparation recommandée. Ce qui convertira ton installation pour un démarrage en mode "legacy"

J'ai mis des mots de passe partout. Et bizarrement j'ai bien failli ne plus pouvoir Booter avec ma clé, je ne sais pas pourquoi mais cela enlève des possibilités de Boot...

Ok, mais l'idée de mettre un mot de passe, c'était pour avoir l'option de désactivation du secure boot qui apparaisse dans le bios. Je ne m'attendais pas à ce qu'il soit désactivé tout seul après ça.
Ensuite j'ai refait une réparation recommandée. À la fin il me dit : "Une erreur est survenue pendant la réparation."
Si en plus boot repair s'y met, on est pas arrivé.
Bon je vais tirer le rideau pour ce soir. Et si demain tu n'as pas trouvé le moyen de désactiver ce secure boot on passera au plan B (cf mon message #20)

Au sujet du secure boot. Ne doit on pas obligatoirement le désactivé que lorsque l'on fait un dual boot Windows/Linux en mode UEFI ?.
Est-ce aussi à faire pour une installation mono système Linux en UEFI?.
La transformation de la table de partition MSDos vers GPT, comme l'a indiqué jamesbad000, n'a pas effacé le contenu du mbr-protective du disque.

J'avoue ne pas avoir suffisamment creusé le sujet du secure boot. Ce que j'en sais jusque là :
- Jamais vue un cas explicite d'installation linux avec secure boot
- D'après ce que je constate sur mon propre PC il faut valider le certificat du programme de boot dans le bios (et autrement en quoi ce serait sécurisé). Donc ça ne se fait pas tout seul.
Ce n'est pas çà qui tromperait le système en démarrant en UEFI?.
Tout est possible, mais j'en doute.
- Soit il démarre sur le MBR et on a le message d'erreur vu au post #1.
- Soit il démarre sur l'UEFI, et je ne vois pas par quel mécanisme délirant il viendrait lire le MBR après avoir démarré sur le programme d'amorce et se dirait "A merde j'ai démarré en UEFI, mais il y a un boot MBR (en plus comment il sait que c'est un boot MBR, il lance une sorte de boot-info ? ) alors je pars en vrille...
- De plus j'ai installé des boot mixtes UEFI/legacy sur clef usb aussi bien que sur disque dur, et ça fonctionne très bien.
