▶ Connexion de secours - partage de connexion avec un smartphone ◀

Solution permettant de télécharger des pilotes pour le wi-fi, d’effectuer des mises à jour, etc

1) La solution la plus économique à privilégier est d'activer le wi-fi du smartphone et de connecter celui-ci à l'ordinateur au moyen du câble USB,
pour éviter la consommation du forfait de données du mobile.

Dans le menu « Partage de connexion », choisir l’option création de point d'accès Wi-fi et  partage de connexion en Bluetooth.
(les menus peuvent varier selon l'OS du smartphone),

Une fois le smartphone connecté en USB et le partage par USB activé,une nouvelle connexion filaire apparaîtra dans les secondes suivantes avec un doux nom ésotérique
(exemple : «enp0s29u1u2 ») et un nom plus parlant « Connexion filaire 2 ».

Aucun paramétrage n’est à faire sur l'ordinateur, il suffit de choisir la nouvelle connexion filaire.

2)  Si la connexion modem ↔ smartphone n'est pas possible en wi-fi, il reste la possibilité de se servir de la 3G/4G (et même là, on peut partager en USB).

Attention au forfait données !

Aucun pilote à installer, il suffit que le PC soit démarré, par exemple avec un CD ou une carte SD ou une clef USB d'installation d'un système Linux, et l'installation du système pourra se faire,
Même méthode si un système Linux est déjà installé et en cours de fonctionnement, s'il était connecté à une box qui ne peut plus accéder à internet, il suffira de déconnecter la box du PC et utiliser la connexion du smartphone à internet.

On peut en même temps, appeler ou/et répondre aux appels téléphoniques, naviguer sur internet depuis le smartphone, etc.
et le smartphone en profite pour recharger sa batterie par USB

C'est une solution effectivement mais ça consomme pas mal, mieux vaut avoir un forfait avec pas mal de data pour le coup ! et surtout avoir une bonne connexion, parce que si tu ne captes pas bien, ça va être compliqué ^^

La solution est d'avoir un téléphone double SIM, la première avec un forfait le moins cher possible pour son numéro principal. La seconde : un forfait en promo sans engagement utilisé pour les datas et les appels longue durée.

moi je viens de découvrir qu'on pouvait accéder aux hotspots "freewifi_secure" avec le forfait de free à 2€ (intéressant vu qu'il est limité à 50Mo en 4G).
même s'il s'agit de wifi, l'identification / connexion se fait avec la carte sim donc ça marche que sur tel (à voir si on peut partager la connexion dans ce cas).

j'imagine que ça peut être utile en particulier pour les citadins ou ceux qui ont des voisins chez free (et désolé pour la pub).

bon je pense pas ceci dit, ça correspondrait à mettre son tel en mode répéteur wifi avec changement de sécurité au passage, je pense pas qu'android soit capable de faire ça.

j'imagine que ça peut être utile en particulier pour les citadins ou ceux qui ont des voisins chez free (et désolé pour la pub).

J'ai vu ça, en revanche je n'ai jamais réussi à m'y connecter.

Attention, la bande passante est limitée, autour de 128 kbps/s.

Oui, on peut, je le fais souvent,
partager (par USB vers un PC) la connexion au web
établie par un smartphone en WiFi vers un point d'accès "FreeWifi_Secure"

Sur le smartphone, pour se connecter au point d'accès "FreeWifi_Secure"
il suffit de choisir l’authentification EAP par la carte SIM (forfait Free 2€)

Il n'y a aucun mot de passe à donner puisque c'est la carte SIM qui est s'authentifie grâce au protocole EAP-SIM.
Avec ce protocole, votre smartphone pourra automatiquement accéder à internet en utilisant n'importe laquelle des box WiFi Free qui seraient accessibles dans le coin,
et le basculement de la connexion d'une box à une l'autre quand vous vous déplacez se fait automatiquement.

Fantastique ! J'étais en train de tester le Lenovo IdeaPad S145, malheureusement pas de WIFI avec l'usb live de Lubuntu.
J'ai donc utilisé ta méthode avec mon smartphone samsung J3 sous android :
Aller dans paramètre > menu connexions > Point d'accès mobile et modem > Modem USB

Reconnu de suite, le wifi est ultra rapide, pas besoin d'acheter de clé. Un grand merci pour l'astuce.

Bonjour , je suis desolé de te contredire , mais non , ce que tu dis ne fonctionnera pas .
Tu ne peux partager une connexion que lorsque c' est le smartphone qui l' a initiée , donc avec données mobiles activées et connectées .
impossible de partager une connexion recue via le wifi du smartphone ( a partir d' une box par exemple ) sur le port USB connecté a l' ordi .
Ou alors c' est tout nouveau et ne suis pas au courant .

Une fois la connexion 4G lancée sur le smartphone , on peut ensuite la partagée via le wifi du smartphone ou via le port USB et meme via le bluetooth sur certains modeles .

A mon avis tu devrais editer le 1er message de cette meme discussion pour y supprimer ton 1°) .

De mon coté , je persiste , que seul le cas numero 2 peut fonctionner , celui que je viens d ' expliquer dans mon message #17 et krodelabestiole  explique le pourquoi , certainement mieux que moi .

J'attendrais l'accord de cqfd93 pour modifier, la proposition de cette solution a été donnée de nombreuses fois sur le forum et est indiquée aussi au § 8, du [Tuto] Pas de Wi-fi ? Eléments importants à vérifier .

Bien sur , pas de soucis .

Il me semble deja avoir dis dans plusieurs autres discussions que c' etait une erreur , on ne peut pas partager une connexion si elle n ' est pas initiée par le smartphone , et je n' ai jamais vu ( encore ) aucun cas sur le forum disant que cela fonctionnait .
Il y a par contre plein d' autre cas ou avec les données mobiles activées cela fonctionne bien sur .

EDIT :
Dans le doute , je viens de refaire a nouveau un test :
Smartphone  xiaomi redminote 8 connecté en wifi a mon huawei B818-263 , impossible de partager la connexion via USB , via bluetooth , et evidemment via wifi puisqu ' il est deja utilisé . tout est grisé dans partage de connexion .

Depuis quand le partage de connexion en usb ne fonctionne pas iznobe? Je l'ai déjà fait de nombreuses fois, la manip est simple et efficace. Et c'est pas nouveau... Pour le fait que tu ne puisses pas partager ta co, soit c'est lié à ta connexion 4G de ta box (vu le modèle j'imagine que c'est de la 4G que tu utilises), soit c'est ton téléphone mais je sais pas pourquoi.

Bonjour @Nuliel , je n ' ai jamais dis que le partage de connexion smartphone en USB ne fonctionnait pas , relis mes messages precedents #19 .

J ' ai dis que le cas numero 1 de la discussion suivante https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=2023275 ne fonctionnait pas , ce n' est d' ailleurs pas un partage de connexion justement !
Seul le cas numero 2 fonctionne , et @krodelabestiole , comme je l' ai cité dans mon message precedent , disait deja la meme chose que moi en 2019 voir message #5 de cette meme discussion .

Ok, oui un téléphone ne peut pas faire hotspot wifi + se connecter en wifi (enfin certaines puces wifi le font, mais pas sûr qu'on retrouve ça dans des téléphones), la partie hotspot est effectivement pas utile, il faut se connecter en wifi à la box plutôt.

cela dit , la derive actuelle est completement Hors sujet dans ce fil , desolé pour mon intervention a ce sujet , mais je suis obligé de signaler cette erreur hmm , j ' aurais certainement du le faire plutot dans l' autre discussion .

non , meme le tel connecté au wifi d' une box , ne pourra pas partager la connexion dont il n ' est pas a l' origine , il ne peut faire un partage que lorsque c ' est le telephone lui-meme qui est connecté a internet directement ( d ou le mot " initié " la connexion ) , pas en passant par une box qui elle etablit la connexion a internet .
Il faut donc utiliser la connexion du smartphone connecté en 4G avec un forfait data pour que cela fonctionne . cas numero 2 de la discussion de @xubu1957 .

Factuellement, Je le fais tout les jours, chez moi, pour éviter d'acheter une clé WiFi, sur un PC fixe qui n'a pas de carte WiFi et pour lequel c'est compliqué de laisser une connexion filaire permanente. J'utilise un smartphone qui n'a pas de carte SIM, donc pas de confusion possible avec les données mobiles.

EDIT : Pour être précis, le téléphone fait office de passerelle (de niveau 1 et 3), d'une part vers la WiFi, et d'autre part vers le réseau de la box (en partant de l'hypothèse que le réseau est celui de la box). Fais l'expérience et regarder les adresses IP des réseaux, tu verras que le réseau est bien créé par le smartphone, différent de celui de la box.

Alors , peut etre que seul quelques modeles ont cette capacité , ca n' est pas le cas des 6 derniers que j' ai utilisé ces dernieres années en tout cas .

Aucun de mes telephones ne possedent la fonction de repeteur wifi .

Il n'est pas répéteur WiFi, il crée un réseau vers la machine en USB.

Je viens de le faire, je suis connecté de la sorte, le sous réseau créé par le téléphone est 192.168.42.0/24. Mon téléphone est sous Android 6 (Marshmallow).

EDIT : et là avec celui de mon épouse, sous Android 10 (le sous réseau est dans ce cas 192.168.213.0/24)

Dans les 2 cas, les données mobiles sont désactivées

EDIT2 : Il faut faire le partage de connexion en USB, ne pas choisir point d'accès WiFi...

Bonjour , a la maison on a 5 telephones differents .
j ' ai deja testé plusieurs fois le cas numero 1 du 1er post  indiqué dans cette discussion , mais toujours sans succés .
le cas numero 2 fonctionne correctement bien sur .

je n ' ai qu ' un telephone , dont l' ecran est fissuré et que je ne me sers plus ( il n' a pas de carte SIM donc ) sur lequel j ' arrive a connnecté le wifi a ma box et a partagé la connexion via USB une fois relié a l' ordinateur .

Si je coupe la connexion filaire de mon ordi via le switch de network-manager , je vois bien que le telephone est connecté , mais pourtant pas d' acces internet .

Dans mes tests precedents , j ' ai toujours eu le meme resultat et ca fait plus de 3 ans que j' essaie foule de solutions , bref , j ' ai toujours pensé que ca ne marchait pas pour la proposition 1.

voici ce que j' obtiens , avec le tel connecté par wifi / partage USB :

j ' avoue ne plus y comprendre grand chose .
Comment mon ordi peut se retrouver dans un sous-reseau qui n' existe pas et maintenant l' acces internet est fonctionnel .

Meme l' acces a ma box via l' ip 192.168.1.1 est fonctionnel alors que dans un autre sous reseau ...

Bref , je suis pas expert en reseau , mais tout cela ne me semble pas tres clair , si quelqu ' un se sent de donner des explications a ce sujet , je l ' en remercie d' avance .
On remarquera du coup que ca n' est tout de meme ( en tout cas chez moi ) pas fonctionnel sans redemarrage de l' ordi et en y laissant le tel en partage dessus .
