Lors de la mise à jour du grub, j'obtiens toujours une erreur ?

grub-probe : erreur : impossible de trouver un périphérique GRUB pour /dev/sdc1. Vérifiez device.map..

J'ai supprimé la clé usb Manjaro du PC et je n'ai plus cette erreur.
Cette clé USB créer par rufus sous Windows crée une seule partition pour l'installation d'Ubuntu, mais 3 pour Manjaro (sous Windows) ? https://rufus.ie/
Mais une seule est visible sous Gparted pour la totalité de la clé (/dev/sdc) aucun numéro de partition.

J’ai modifié les fichiers /usr/lib/linux-boot-probes/mounted/40grub, /usr/lib/linux-boot-probes/mounted/40grub2 et /etc/grub.d/30_os-prober.

Il aurait tout aussi bien été possible de recopier ces trois fichiers du Manjaro vers la distro affichant le menu GRUB.

Par contre je n'ai pas compris grand chose, je n'ai fait que copier / coller les commandes. roll

J’ai modifié les fichiers /usr/lib/linux-boot-probes/mounted/40grub, /usr/lib/linux-boot-probes/mounted/40grub2 et /etc/grub.d/30_os-prober.
Il aurait tout aussi bien été possible de recopier ces trois fichiers du Manjaro vers la distro affichant le menu GRUB.

Pourquoi il n'y a qu'une distribution qui affiche le grub et c'est probablement la dernière installée ?

Petite question comme j'ai constaté que Manjaro démarrait avec le menu du PC (ce que je n'avais pas vérifié avant), aurai-je pu faire un update-grub directement depuis Manjaro pour résoudre mon problème ?

Réponse à Francis !

Lorsque que je sélectionnais Manjaro dans le menu du PC, ce n'était pas Manjaro qui démarrait mais le GRUB de Manjaro, ensuite en cliquant sur Manjaro il ce lançait normalement, (par contre toutes les distributions ce trouvent dans le menu du PC sauf Linux-Mint) il est bien installé sur le même disque que les autres distributions. Je n'ai pas vérifié depuis la modification de nany, mais depuis ça marche comme avant avec l'affichage de xubuntu dans le GRUB. cool cool cool

Bonjour,

Petit problème ce matin...
J'ai démarré sous Linux-Mint.
Quelques mises à jour ce sont installées avec redémarrage avec le GRUB de Linux-Mint qui était à l'écran, ensuite même problème qu'hier.
J'ai donc démarré mon PC sur setup (bios).
J'ai sélectionnés Manjaro comme boot par défaut.
J'ai donc démarré le boot-loader Manjaro.
J'ai fait un update-grub depuis Manjaro.
Pour l'instant ça fonctionne.
Alors question :
J'espère que lors d'une prochaine mise à jour sous une de mes distributions à base Debian ne va pas à nouveau casser le démarrage de Manjaro ou autre ?

Si une voiture avait deux volants, elle deviendrait vite in-dirigeable.
Là, c’est pareil, il ne peut y avoir qu’une distro affichant le menu de GRUB.
Et oui, sauf manipulation particulière, c’est la dernière distro installée qui a la main.

Uniquement si c’est Manjaro qui affiche le menu de GRUB.

J’avoue ne plus m’y retrouver parmi toutes tes distros. Je croyais que c’était Xubuntu qui affichait le menu de GRUB.
Pour faire simple, copie les fichiers /usr/lib/linux-boot-probes/mounted/40grub /usr/lib/linux-boot-probes/mounted/40grub2 et /etc/grub.d/30_os-prober de ta Manjaro et colle les dans tes autres distros.

Comme tu as raison, heureusement que je n'ai pas deux volants dans ma voiture. lol

Mon but n'est pas de battre le record du nombre de distributions Linux sur un PC, mais de trouver celle qui me convient le mieux, d'où tous mes tests.
A terme mon PC devrait disposer uniquement de deux Linux LTS identiques un avec des logiciels développements et l'autre avec des versions stables.
Pour ce qui est de la dernière installée, c'était bien xubuntu mais comme j'ai du la réinstaller Manjaro ça a changer entre les modifications. roll

Bonjour,

Est-il possible lors de l'installation d'une distribution Linux comme Ubuntu d’interdire le sudo update-grub en fin d’installation ?
Ceci pour éviter de me retrouver avec le même problème que précédemment avec l'installation de la nouvelle 20.04 LTS du 23 avril.
Après je n'aurait plus qu'à démarrer Manjaro pour faire le sudo update-grub.

OK, ça marche! Mais à la prochaine mise à jour qui entrainera une mise à jour de grub (même avant l'arrivée officielle de la 20.04), va falloir recommencer !
En prévision (et en prévision des mises à jour "clean" comme par exemple pour la prochaine LTS), j'ai depuis longtemps créé dans mon /home (partition séparée) un répertoire "save" où je range ces fichiers à remettre en place après réinitialisation.

Bonsoir,

J'ai résolu mes problèmes d'écran noir sous Linux !
A chaque mises à jour importante si au démarrage suivant je trouve Debian/Ubuntu en premier je sais qu'il y a eu une mise à jour importante.
Dans ce cas j'utilise la ligne firmware du GRUB pour pour changer l'ordre de boot du PC et je place Manjaro en premier, touche F10 et Entré.
Le PC reboot et Manjaro est à nouveau en premier et le PC démarre normalement avec n'importe quel système, c'est une habitude à prendre.
