Limitation de ram

Bonjour.
Je voulais savoir s'il y avait une valeur de RAM à ne pas dépasser avec Ubuntu en 64 bit.  Et si l'on rajoute de la RAM le système la reconnaît elle automatiquement? Ou bien y a t'il quelque chose à paramétrer? Sur ma doc carte mère et dans le bios je ne voir rien dans ce sens.

Bonjour michelzzz.
Normalement, plus tu mets de RAM et mieux c'est puisque la RAM non-utilisée par les applications servira de mémoire cache pour les disques.

C'est plutôt ta carte-mère qui limitera la taille de RAM possible par barrette mémoire.

Un adressage 64 bits permet d'adresser 16 Eio (exbioctets).
16 Eio = 16777216 Tio = 17179869184 Gio = 18446744073,71 Go.
Il reste de la marge !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pour adresser 128 Gio = 2^7 Gio il faut 3×10+7 fils soient 37 fils d'adresses sur 64 possibles en 64 bits.

Ça tourne à 2133 MHz… Regarde dans le BIOS … (forcer un paramètre dans le BIOS et lancer le memtest sur au minimum 3 passes, ça va prendre des heures…)
PS : memtest se lance depuis le média Live-Ubuntu 18.04 par exemple (tester la mémoire).

Bon et bien j'ai déjà changé un paramètre dans le bios Extreme Memory Profil (X M P) et maintenant c'est 3200 MHz
Je pense que je vais aller fouiller un peu plus dans le bios. je pensai qu'en laissant tout sur auto, tout se gérait au mieux...

Personnellement je testerais dans memtest que les barrettes mémoire supportent ces fréquences sans erreur… wink

Merci michelzzz.
Attention, je crois qu'il faut éviter d'utiliser les SNAP et qu'il faut préférer les paquets systèmes .deb
Tu sembles utiliser beaucoup de snaps.
