[Résolu] Ce boot-info est-il clean ? Lenovo Ideapad 330-15IKB

Bonjour,
Je viens de faire ce boot-info depuis une session live Ubuntu 20.04 sur un Lenovo Ideapad 330 nouvellement acheté. Je voudrais avoir vos avis avant de proceder à l'installation de Ubuntu ou Debian la dessus en dual-boot avec Windows 10.

Windows est installé en mode uefi sur le disque sda.
Pour installer Ubuntu, il faut démarrer sur ton support d'installation dans ce même mode (celui qui a été utilisé pour faire ce boot-info)

Mais au préalable il faudra dégager un espace non partitionné pour ubuntu. Cet espace sera obtenu en réduisant une des partitions existante (à faire depuis Windows)

Qu'en est-il du fameux Fast boot ?

Sachant que Secure boot est désactivé dans le BIOS, par contre pour Fast Boot je ne sais pas laquelle des deux configurations suivantes est la bonne dans le menu Boot:

Bonjour,
Il faut :

Boot Mode ==== [UEFI]

Motif : Windows est préinstallé en mode UEFI donc il est impératif d'installer les autres OS qu'on veut ajouter dans le même mode, donc dans le mode UEFI.

Je ne sais pas répondre à ta question du post #5 pour "fast boot"
Pour csm, il faut savoir que ça désigne la fonction "compatibilité Bios". Comme tu as sélectionné Boot mode = UEFI, ça signifie que tu as désactivé csm.

Si tu n'as jamais fait d'installation en mode UEFI, tu peux t'appuyer sur le tuto "efi un jeu d'enfant" du site "Libre à Quimperlé" : https://libreaquimperle.blogspot.com/p/ … nfant.html EDIT : j'ai rayé ça parce qu'il  y a des incohérences (*) dans ce tuto du site "Libre à Quimperlé" qui a été mis à jour pour 20.04 un peu trop précipitamment. Je te recommande plutôt le tuto du site lecrabeinfo : "Installer Ubuntu 20.04 LTS en dual-boot avec Windows 10"

(*) étape 4 : création d'une partition EXT4 pour linux. On voit qu'il manque un morceau de tuto entre la partie "Choisir Récupération et Redémarrer maintenant" et "Aller sur Activités et rechercher Gparted". A l'étape 5, cette partition EXT4 créée à l'étape 4 n'est pas là : c'est seulement un espace non-alloué qui est là.

Salut Malbo,

Désolé pour le Tuto.
Je suis justement en cours de mise à niveau de celui-ci.
Je le met à jour en même temps que des vidéos, qui suive le même processus.
Il sera prêt rapidement avec toutes les captures qui vont bien.
Je bosse dessus, pour avoir quelques choses qui tienne la route pour demain ou après demain.
Il faudra pas hésiter à donner ton retour pour améliorer le résultat.

Merci à vous deux.

Depuis mars 2010 que je suis sur GNU/Linux (Ubuntu, Debian et Arch Linux) et toutes mes installations se sont faites en mode BIOS/MBR et je n'ai jamais eu de problème.

Ce nouveau portable vient avec l'UEFI donc je dois me renseigner sur tout qui y a trait.

Salut à tous,

Bonne nouvelle le Tuto est à jour.
EFI un jeu d'enfant
J'ai profité du confinement pour faire une mise à niveau.

Voici quelques info sur cette nouvelle version.
Je part du principe que les PC équipés de Windows 10 d'origine, sont tous en UEFI.
L'installation est donc réalisé sans souci en mode EFI.
J'ai simplifié l'installation de Ubuntu.
Plus besoin de SWAP et pas de /home, c'est une installation de niveau 1.
Le niveau o est une installation en mode automatique que je n'utilise jamais sauf si Windows doit être supprimé.
Le niveau 2 sera une installation avec un /home que je vais préparer prochainement.

J'ai réalisé ce tuto en deux fois.
Une première fois pour créer des vidéos pour youtube : Vidéos Youtube
Une deuxième fois pour créer des captures d'écran pour les pages WEB : EFI un jeu d'enfant
C'est donc le même tuto qui est réalisé, pour une installation en dur sur mon portable.
Pour info je découvre en même temps que vous Ubuntu 20.04 en réel et pas dans une machine virtuel.
Ce tuto à donc pris un peu de retard pour les mise à jours en direct des pages WEB.
L’objectif à terme est de faire le teste de cette version avec un maximum de SNAP.
Ubuntu 20.04 est la version que j'utilise au quotidien, si elle pose problème je le saurai rapidement.
Mon premier retour est positif tout fonctionne à la perfection.
C'est juste l'utilisateur, qui lui aussi a besoin d'une mise à niveau pour utiliser la nouvelle version de Kdenlive, de Gimp, flameshot que je découvre ect...

Ne pas hésiter à me faire des commentaires je ferais mon possible pour corriger les imperfections.
Le principe du tuto est sans risque c'est la méthode que j'utilise tous les mois pour installer Ubuntu en dual boot sur des PC lors de nos ateliers Point Info Linux.
Je n'ai généralement que 1 h pour faire l'installation et pas droit à l'erreur, la personne doit repartir avec un pc en état de marche.
Il arrive encore que certain PC pose problème, mais c'est vraiment une minorité de bios qui pose souci.
Le résultat est toujours le même, Windows Fonctionne toujours et sans problème.
c'est juste Linux qui doit faire des pieds et des mains pour signaler sa présence..;:P..malbo me comprendra..;)

J'ai regardé les tuto du crabeinfo  c'est du bon travail. Je vais aussi le partager.

Je viens juste de finir l'installation de Ubuntu 18.04.3 qui s'est déroulée le plus normalement du monde comme au bon vieux temps du BIOS/MBR.

Ce qui a changé:
Boot Mode = UEFI
Secure Boot = Désactivé
Redémarrage rapide = désactivé.

Voici le boot-info fait depuis la session Ubuntu nouvellement installée, peut-être qu'il y a des choses anormales.

Pour moi, il n'y a pas d'anomalie dans ce Boot-info.
Cependant, je constate un trou dans le partitionnement dans cet extrait :

On peut voir que la partition 7 (la partition racine de Ubuntu) se termine à 838GB alors que la partition qui la suit (la partition 5) commence à 999GB. Il y a donc une zone non-allouée (non-partitionnée) de 161GB. Si tu as fait exprès de laisser cette place libre en vue d'installer une autre distribution, c'est peut-être normal.

D'autre part, je suis surpris de constater que tu as fini par installer la version 18.04 alors que le Boot-info du post #1 avait été fait depuis une session live de Ubuntu 20.04. Logiquement, je m'attendais à ce que tu fasses l'installation de la version 20.04.

EDIT : je souhaiterais mentionner ta réussite dans la Liste des portables « Lenovo » mais ce que tu as indiqué dans le post #1 pour désigner ton modèle ("Lenovo Ideapad 330") est insuffisant. Il y a déjà 5 modèles qui correspondent dans la Liste des portables « Lenovo » :

Merci malbo pour la confirmation concernant le boot-info.

1- L'espace non-alloué de 161GB c'est pour y installer Arch Linux (j'aime bien cette distribution), donc c'est intentionnel.

2- Ma clé de la version 20.04 du premier poste a rendu l’âme, je me suis rabattu sur le DVD 18.04.3 qui était sous ma main (juste pour tester). Dans quelques jours, je réinstallerais la 20.04 (ou Debian Unstable) au même moment qu'Arch Linux.

3- Ce modèle est destiné à l'Afrique, voici quelques informations:
- Lenovo Ideapad 330-15IKB
- CPU i5-8250U
- HDD 1 To
- 8GB RAM
- Écran 15" (ou 15,6")  Full HD (1920 x 1080)
- Carte Graphique intégrée Intel UHD 620
etc...

Tout marche out-of-the-box.
