[non-résolvable] Webcam Dell latitude 5175 non-reconnue
Bonjour, je sollicite vos conseils après des recherches infructueuses.
Je ne parviens pas à faire fonctionner les deux caméras de mon PC 2-1 Dell Latitude 5175 (caméra dos et webcam).
Elle fonctionnent toutes les deux sous Windows 10, ce n'est donc pas un problème matériel, elles sont également bien activée dans le BIOS.
Le driver (sous Windows, bien sûr) de ces deux caméras semble être celui-ci : https://www.dell.com/support/home/fr-fr … erid=vj601
J'ai suivi les pages Webcam de la doc Ubuntu-fr sans succès. Je ne sais plus trop quoi faire.
EDIT : Non résolu en date du 23 septembre 2020. Impossible de faire fonctionner les deux caméras sous Linux actuellement, le driver n'est disponible que pour Windows. Il va falloir attendre un futur noyaux Linux qui pourra les prendre en charge. Voir le post #9 de Xubu1957 qui apporte des éléments de réponse.
Driver au niveau du capteur Video4Linux2 pour le capteur RAW Omnivision ov8858. Il ne fonctionne actuellement qu'avec le pilote atomisp (sous Windows)

J'ai en fait testé les deux caméras en recevant le PC avant de supprimer Windows et d'installer Linux (je ne souhaitais pas garder Windows). J'ai depuis retester depuis une clé avec Windows installé dessus (Windows-on-the-go via Rufus), et dans ce cas j'ai bien redémarré à chaque fois suivant les différentes installations des mises-à-jour et des drivers.

Au lancement dans le fenêtre principale j'ai "There was an error playing video from the webcam" et dans les paramètres, sur la ligne "Device" j'ai les 4 choix "ipu3-imgu". Les 4 testés ne fonctionnent pas.

OV8858 est un capteur brut 8M.
Il ne fonctionne actuellement qu'avec le pilote atomisp.

Merci pour tes nombreuses recherches @xubu1957 tu as trouvé plus de choses que moi en moins de temps qu'il ma fallu pour ne pas trouver ! J'ai bien fait de demander de l'aide sur ce forum 
J'ai lu tes différent liens donnés : visiblement si je comprends bien il n'y a pas de solutions fonctionnelles actuellement sous Linux ? À part attendre ? (le reste dépasse mes connaissances et compétences) je suis déception...
Sous Windows mes deux tests n'ont pas rencontrés de problème, mais bon, c'est sous Windows.
La commande dmesg | grep ov5670 me retourne rien (en sudo également).
Concernant cheese lancé dans un terminal :
$ cheese

Bonjour,
Avec ton message d'erreur, je trouve ce bug > bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1890023 Cheese is failing to start WebCam
Même avec un noyau expérimental 5.7.11-surface, la webcam ne fonctionne pas.
Je pense qu'il faudra attendre l'arrivée des noyaux stables 5.8 ou 5.9, pour arriver à utiliser ta webcam sur Linux.

Merci pour tes réponses. Je vais devoir attendre alors.
Je met à jour l'état de ce fil, même si ce n'est pas résolu en tant que tel.
C'est possible que je reprenne tes recherches et propositions résumé dans un post sur le forum anglophone, comme il est bien plus consulté peut-être que d'autres Linuxiens pourront intervenir.
Et si d'autres personnes ont des idées elles sont les bienvenues ici

Bonjour,
Petit déterrage (que 3 ans ), je tombe sur https://patchwork.kernel.org/project/li … email.net/ , donc si l'ajout date de 2022, ça a peut-être plus de chances de fonctionner aujourd'hui. Ce serait intéressant de voir si aujourd'hui ces caméras fonctionnent sous linux.

Effectivement @Nuliel
Je me suis séparé du PC il y a maintenant 6 mois, faute de solution (et il ne servait plus vraiment, et commençait à être dépassé techniquement pour mes usages). Donc je ne pourrais pas te dire si ça fonctionne maintenant !
