[Résolu] Photosmart B109a-m HPLIP No devices found on bus: usb
Bonjour
Je viens de changer mon disque dur et je suis passer sous kubuntu 20.04. J'ai branché l'imprimante et elle s'est installée toute seule.
Seul le scanner ne fonctionne pas.

Si je comprends bien c'est juste un changement de port usb dans les echanges, je viens d'essayer sur mes 3 ports usb, j'ai toujours le meme soucis (J'ai même essayer avec un autre cable usb)

bonjour,
j'ai la même imprimante , je suis sous manjaro et je viens de galérer pour l'installation avec hplip 3.20.9 sur pc portable directement en wifi
alors que je n'ai jamais eu de soucis que ce soit sous ubuntu ou autre.
essaye avec hplip-gui et vérifit que le fichier ppd doit être : hp-photosmart_wireless_b109n-z.ppd.gz ensuite le scan n'a pas fonctionné au premier essai redémare chez moi il fonctionnait après le redémarrage
j'espère que cela t'aidera

Curieux, je viens d'avoir un pépin équivalent avec une vielle multifonction de chez HP : l'imprimante apparaît immédiatement dans Paramètres Système / Imprimantes
mais elle est invisible dans HPlip-GUI ou HP-Tollbox alors qu'on trouve bien la machine via lsusb.
Impression OK mais partie scanner inopérante ( or c'est ça qui m'intéressait ).
Au final ce qui semble avoir restitué le scanner, c'est d'avoir installé / réinstallé les paquets relatifs au scan de documents sous Ubuntu 20.04 :

Je crois que tu es pas loin de la vérité...
Avec une autre marque d'imprimante, je me souviens que c'était un lien erroné qui bloquait !
Après un changement de version, le lien pointait sur une dépendance ancienne 
je suis passer sous kubuntu 20.04
Perso, pourquoi on a ces deux erreurs :

chez moi j'ai récupéré une vieille version hplip 3.17 et j'ai installé l'imprimante ensuite j'ai fait la mise à jour vers 3.20 et c'est bon attention je suis sous manjaro mais les problêmes sont souvent similaires tu peux tenter une manip similaire demande l'avis avant

Perso, je connais pas "manjaro" (je sais je suis inculte ! 
)
Le message d'erreur indique que la communication inter-processus ne passe pas.
Sauf erreur d'interprétation, la réponse de @siddhartha à 19:10, indique aussi un prb d'incompatibilité de communication inter-processus.
Ce soir, je vais essayer de comprendre ce qu'il se passe dans ce "bordel"...
Attention, je ne prétends pas être sur la « bonne piste », donc continuer de chercher !

error: cups CUPS - Common Unix Printing System REQUIRED 1.1 - INCOMPAT 'CUPS may not be installed or not running'sudo apt install cups cups-client
sudo adduser $USER lpadmin
sudo service start ou restart
puis relancer l'installation avec hplip-gui ou hp-setup
ce serait peut-être à essayer attend un autre avis pour les commandes je suis plus très sur

Normalement cette imprimante n'a pas besoin du plugin mais bon, tu peux toujours tenter de l'installer :

Il semble que le bug soit connu chez HP :
HP Photosmart b109a-m: Scanner not recognised in HPLIP 3.19.
Le bug est absent des versions précédentes Ubuntu.
La solution est donnée par Vier Eck (viereck) ---> ICI
