[Résolu] Forcer Windows 10 à booter sur live CD Xubuntu 20.04.LTS
Bonjour,
Je veux installer Xubuntu 20.04 LTS à côté de Windows 10 sur nouveau PC Medion S15447 MD 61676.
Je tente sur W un redémarrage avancé via "utiliser un périphérique" mais le DVD n'est pas reconnu et seul UEFI OS est proposé.
J'avais déjà fait ça sur d'autres PC mais sans problème.

Bonjour,
Depuis une session de ton Windows 10, vérifie que tu peux voir le contenu de ton DVD dans l'explorateur Windows comme je peux le faire dans cette vue : https://zupimages.net/viewer.php?id=21/20/r94t.png
Tu vois que je peux ouvrir le fichier readme (qui se trouve à la racine du DVD de Xubuntu) avec le bloc-notes de Win10. Raconte.

Depuis ta session Windows 10, Avant de cliquer sur "Redémarrer", tu presses la touche SHIFT (la touche des majuscules) puis tu cliques sur "Redémarrer". Tu peux relâcher la touche SHIFT : en principe, ça doit redémarrer en mode avancé et tu peux sélectionner "utiliser un périphérique". Ensuite, j'espère que tu verras une proposition de démarrage en UEFI sur ton DVD. Mais si tu trouves seulement "UEFI OS" comme avant, je ne sais pas quoi te conseiller...

super ok ça marche ! Je peux installer normalement ? modifier partitions ? (guide-moi un peu stp, merci) je dois prévoir 500 Gb pour mes datas : c'est possible ? Le HD fait 1 TB

Avant toute chose, je te prie de faire un Boot-info depuis une session live de Xubuntu et de donner l'URL de ce Boot-info dans ta réponse. Il faut que je voie à quoi ça ressemble.

ça m'a pris du temps car le live cd ne m'a pas donné la possibilité de choisir clavier français... j'ai essayé fois en vain.

A mon avis, la qté espace à réduire peut être de 50000 Mo (au lieu de 175339 proposés). Cela laissera une zone non-allouée de 50 Go pour la partition racine de Xubuntu, ce qui est déjà beaucoup.

Tu peux installer en sélectionnant ""installer Xubuntu à côté de Windows...". Assure-toi que l'installation se fait bien sur le SSD de 256 Go (et pas sur le disque dur de 1 To).

Je voudrais ajouter ton modèle MEDION AKOYA S15447 dans la Liste des portables « Medion »
Je te prie de faire un Boot-info depuis une session de ton Xubuntu fraîchement installé et de donner l'URL de ce Boot-info dans ta réponse. Cela donnera un exemple d'installation réussie dans ce modèle.
Si tu as des soucis avec la partition de stockage de données sur le disque de 1 To, pas la peine de créer une nouvelle discussion : poste ici et on t'aidera.

J'ai fait mon backup /home et MesDatas avec grsync. Sur l'ancien PC j'étais en 20.10 mais sur le nouveau j'ai installé la version 20.04 LTS. Est-ce un problème ?
Est-il préférable de réinstaller d'abord mes logiciels habituels de snap PUIS de remonter /home ou bien l'inverse ?

Tu mentionnes ton projet de remonter /home. Moi je te déconseille de faire ça et je ne saurais pas t'aider à le faire. Ce que tu dois toucher, c'est le contenu de ta partition de stockage sda1 dont le label est "Data" pour y ajouter tes données perso.

Si je te comprends bien, tu conseilles simplement de faire des copier/coller des différents dossiers de mon backup (documents - images - musique - vidéo etc) dans "Data" ?
Et pour ce qui est de .mozilla et .thunderbird, (pour avoir mes favoris, historiques, mails etc,) faire aussi un copie/coller dans /home ?
Pour tout le reste, comme par exemple, mon VPN, Tor, VLC et autres logiciels pour vidéo, édition etc, simplement tout installer de nouveau ?
Idem pour les pilotes d'imprimantes, scanner ? C'est assez lourd tout ça, mais bon.
Mon but est d'avoir une installation propre et nette cette fois...

Je ne fais que des installations à neuf, sans récup des config de logiciels. Aussi je ne sais pas te guider pour ces activités-là. Sans doute que d'autres aidants habitués à ces manips pourront t'aider.

Je comprends. Cependant, quand on me pose des questions sur l'installation précédente (2016) pour laquelle tu m'avais guidé, je crois que c'est un peu dans tes cordes ?

L'erreur venait que mon backup est en ext4 et la nouvelle partition data en ntfs. Basique...
