Dernière info : tout est en lecture seule. Pas moyen de modifier, par exemple, le fichier fstab (essayé juste pour voir, suite dernière discussion en janvier).
Je suis en train de télécharger un Ubuntu récent, j'essaierai de booter sur la clé, ça devrait être bon vers 17h45.
En parallèle, j'ai réessayé de démarrer avec et sans la carte graphique, et j'obtiens désormais systématiquement le même résultat : démarrage dans ce mode console, en lecture seule.
Je suis preneur de toute aide sur ce que je dois faire pour essayer de reprendre le contrôle sans tout réinstaller. Je précise cependant que j'ai réussi à faire une sauvegarde : ouf !

c ' est normal , df -Th ne montre que les informations des partitions montées .
ton systeme sur le SSD n ' est pas monté puisque tu es en session live .
passe le terminal en plein ecran et montre voir :

en plus de la partition racine , je ferais aussi :
fsck -fyv sda? puisque toujours pas partitionné .
df -Th , ne traite que les partitions montées sur le systeme de fichiers utilisé
alors que " lsblk " affiche toutes les partitions presente dans l' ordi .
on voit clairement la difference entre les 2 avec la colonne mountpoint de lsblk . quand c' est vide , c n' apparait pas dans le retour de df .
peut etre qu ' un rapport smartctl du disque SSD serait utile afin de verifier si tout est ok de ce coté là materiellement .

il faut mettre le disque ( sdb ) et pas la partition ( sdb1 ) , ca risque d' endommager le disque dans certain cas .

est ce que c' est un disque SSD SATA M2 ou NVME ?
est ce que le paquet adequate est installé ? dans le cas ou c ' est un NVME :
sudo apt install nvme-cliuniquement .

alors je ne connais pas NVME mais je pense que c'est un M2 car ma carte mère est une MSI B450-M2-Pro-Max . Je n'avais rien installé de spécial lors du montage du PC, mis à part le système d'exploitation.

on peut lire sur le descriptif de ta carte mere : https://fr.msi.com/Motherboard/B450M-PR … X/Overview
Slot Turbo M.2 fonctionnant en PCI-E Gen3 x4 pour améliorer les performances des SSD NVMe
d' ou mon interrogation .
et on y voit clairement le port NVME PCIE sur une des photos , juste en dessus du radiateur a ailletes ( en bas a droite ) de l' image numero 3 .
EDIT : Du coup , a un moment on a parlé de faire une remise a niveau des parametres du BIOS , l ' as tu fait ou pas ?
les disques NVME ont une gestion specifique dans le BIOS . il faudrait que tu nous dises si le mode RAID est activé ou si tu es sur support AHCI pour les disques .
si tu preferes prends des photos du BIOS pour les parametres du disque NVME et la gestion des ports SATA .
