[Résolu] Système planté après une installation défectueuse

Bonjour les libristes,

Cela faisait bien longtemps que je n'avais pas demandé votre aide, mais là j'avoue être dans une situation délicate. Après une installation problématique d'inkscape sur une ubuntu budgie 20.04, l'ordi est parti sur orbite : impossible de démarrer normalement (il démarre en tty1), impossible d'avoir une connexion internet, la commande "startx" me renvoie que xinit n'est pas installé...

L'ordinateur possède un disque dur de 128 Go en SSD, et un disque dur d'1 To classique. Il est en EFI.

J'ai donc fait un live usb pour récupérer le système, en me disant qu'un bon vieux 

sudo dpkg --configure -a

règlerait bien vite le problème...
Mais non.
Non seulement le problème persiste, mais en plus l'ordi plante lorsque je tente de faire une sauvegarde du home afin de réinstaller le système (il me donne une erreur type "SQUASH error...").

Les étapes que j'ai d'ores et déjà essayées sans succès : 

sudo dpkg --configure -a

(en chroot)

sudo apt upgrade

(en chroot)

sudo apt-get --fix-missing

(en chroot)

 sudo fsck -f -v

sur deux partitions (la partition linux en ext4 où se trouve le système, et la partition du ddur de 1 To pour voir si les elles ne seraient pas par hasard endommagées par des fichiers défectueux. Mais fsck ne trouve pas de pb. Cela m'étonne grandement car lors de la copie du /home, l'ordi plante toujours sur un ou deux fichiers, toujours les mêmes (et c'est là que le "SQUASH error apparaît, mais je ne sais pas comment récupérer un log de ça).

En désespoir de cause, j'ai commencé à regarder les logs car j'ai remarqué plusieurs erreurs qui n'avaient pas l'air cool, notamment une au BIOS...

Tout ceci a été récupéré avec le live USB. Les messages d'erreur que j'obtiens en console, et bien je ne sais pas les copier et les récupérer donc ils sont pour l'instant manquants.

Toute aide me sera précieuse ! Je n'ai pas trop peur de réinstaller le système (au point où j'en suis...), c'est juste que je voudrais m'assurer qu'il n'y a pas de pb de hardware avant de me lancer dans une réinstall. Et accessoirement je n'arrive pas à sauvegarder le /home.

En comparant tes messages d'erreur avec ce que j'obtiens dans ce fil : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=2072760
J'en retire que tous les messages AE_NOT_FOUND n'ont aucune importance.
Je te prie de faire un Boot-info depuis une session live et de donner l'URL de ce Boot-info dans ta réponse.

Non je n'ai pas essayé d'installer Windows : il était installé sur le PC à l'achat et ma compagne voulait le garder au cas où. Donc l'ordi est en dual-boot, et il me semble pour avoir trifouillé dans le BIOS qu'une partition de Recovery existe aussi (ou alors c'est la même que celle de Windows, je ne sais plus trop j'ai fait l'install il y a quelques années...).

EDIT : De mémoire il me semble que lorsque j'ai fait l'installation, j'ai conservé le boot loader de Windows. Mais à vrai dire c'est trop loin pour en avoir un souvenir précis. Ce que je sais est que jusqu'à ce que ça plante, on avait toujours accès à grub et il proposait de démarrer sur Ubuntu ou Windows.

D' apres les partitions qu ' on voit actuellement sur le boot-info , il n ' ya plus aucune partition possible pour windows que ce soit recovery ou autre .

sda1 est une partition ext4 ( a priori )
sdb1 est une partition EFI .
sdb2 la partition racine de ton systeme .
sdc est la cle USB .

              ----------------------------

on voit que le GRUB est actuellement reglé pour forcé le fsck de ta partition racine :

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="fsck.mode=force"

il faut que tu refasses la manip que tu avait faite avant pour remettre ca en " normal " .

A noter que si tu veux faire une fsck de ta partition racine , le plus simple est de demarrer sur la clé USB live puis de passer :

sudo fsck -fyv /dev/sdb2

Le boot-info dit bien qu'il n'existe pas de partition NTFS susceptibles de contenir WINDOWS

Ou alors windows est sur un disque qui n'est plus détecté par le bios.
Cette commande a d'ailleurs écrasé le fichier de boot de windows par celui de  ubuntu. Ce n'est pas grave car il n'y a pas de windows.

Les deux disques sont en bon état
"l'ordi plante lorsque je tente de faire une sauvegarde du home afin de réinstaller le système (il me donne une erreur type "SQUASH error..."). "
J'avais espéré qu'il aurait eu le temps de mémoriser quelques trucs


NOTA. Je ne vois pas quel est le problème actuel à traiter

Merci geole pour ton aide.
J'ai du nouveau de mon côté : en chroot j'ai réinstallé le meta paquet "ubuntu-budgie-desktop" et l'ordi est de nouveau fonctionnel.
Je ne m'explique pas comment le système a pu migrer vers la LTS 22.04 après l'installation d'inkscape, tout en sachant que je n'ai pas demandé de mise à niveau, mais l'informatique comporte parfois ses propres mystères...
Je ne comprends pas non plus comment Windows a disparu (il y avait jusqu'à il y a peu un dual-boot sur cette machine !) mais ça n'est pas un drame en soi.

Avant de résoudre le fil, il me reste une question :
l'ordi boote systèmatiquement sur le boot loader de Windows (qui a été écrasé si j'ai bien suivi) : comment puis-je le faire booter sur celui d'Ubuntu et également faire un peu de nettoyage dans les fichiers de boot

Il me semble que 95% des ordinateurs HP  bootent automatiquement avec le fichier de boot de windows. Si on veut booter avec un autre O.S. il faut toujours appuyer sur une touche (F12? F11? F9?) pour le sélectionner. Si cela boote automatiquement, autant rester comme cela.

Tu peux supprimer un exemplaire du shim

sudo rm -v   /boot/efi/EFI/Boot/bkpbootx64.efi

Bonjour,
Finalement, tu as réussi à régler le problème par une réinstallation du paquet "ubuntu-budgie-desktop". Étrange quand même cette mise à niveau 20.04 vers 22.04 à ton insu et aussi cette disparition de Windows.
D'après le lien que tu as donné dans le post #6, on peut voir que ton ordi est un modèle HP Pavilion Laptop 14-ce3xxx équipé d'un processeur Intel Core i5-1035G1. La partie graphique est intégrée dans le processeur. Il n'y a pas de "carte" graphique dédiée.

EDIT : j'ai tenté de déterminer ce qu'il y avait dans les xxx de ton modèle d'ordi en partant de la mention "SKU Number: 8BT58EA#AKC" du log dmidecode mais ce SKU ne correspond pas à ton cas : il pointe vers un modèle équipé d'un SSD 256 Go alors que tu as un SSD 128 Go. J'ai laissé tomber. Je trouve que ça pourrait être le modèle HP Pavilion 14-ce3007nh qu'on peut voir sur cette page : https://support.hp.com/bg-en/document/c06456813
Si c'est cela, ce serait un modèle commercialisé en Hongrie. Est-ce que ça te parle ou bien ?
