Problème nombre de ligne PCI
Salut,
sans trop savoir ou poster, s'agissant d'un server me voilà ici....
Ma config :
Carte mère : asus H61M-K
CPU : I7 3770T
En carte PCI :
Un adaptateur PCI (16x) vers Nvme avec un Nvme dessus
Une carte PCI (1x) Ethernet 2.5 Gb/s Intel I225-V
Mon probleme :
NVME sur port 16x, Ethernet en 1x, le NVME fonctionne, la carte réseau ne fonctionne pas (invisible avec lspci / lshw).
NVME sur port 1x (avec un riser), carte ethernet sur 16x => Sa fonctionne, mais situation non acceptable (la vitesse du SSD est digne d'un HDD, c'est con pour un NVME 1To qui peut plafonner à 2To/s en lecture)
Le SSD fonctionne en 8 Gb/s - 4x (sur le port 16x)
=> je ne trouve pas l'origine du probleme
D'après Intel Ark : Configurations PCI Express - up to 1x16, 2x8, 1x8 & 2x4

il n ' y a pas un autre port PCIE de dispo pour tester ?
donne le retour de
sudo lshw -sanitize
et aussi :
cat /var/log/syslog | grep error
en utilisant le retour utilisable de commande svp

Yes c'est bien cette carte (enfin la mienne est bien plus jolie )
(je viens de voir que le 3eme port est peut être partagé avec la carte intégré... le NVME dessus et la carte intégrée ne fonctionne plus, et NVME en 03:00.0... Enfin sa doit rien importer au truc ^^)

Je précise, elle est connectée la sur le deuxieme port PCI (pci:1 ou 02:00.0)
Edit : la carte RTL8111/8168/8411 est la carte intégrée.

(je viens de voir que le 3eme port est peut être partagé avec la carte intégré... le NVME dessus et la carte intégrée ne fonctionne plus, et NVME en 03:00.0... Enfin sa doit rien importer au truc ^^)
Bonjour , ben justement si , il y a souvent des ports PCIE qui deviennent inutilisable lorsque le 16X est utilisé , et donc ca reduit les possibilités de connexions , d ' ou ma question d' utiliser un autre port PCIE ( si dispo ) .
Si tu as effectivement 3 PORTS PCIE , utilise les moins puissants possibles pour les connexions des cartes .
il faut voir , pour une description detailléede l' utilisation des ports PCIE , le manuel de la carte mere qui est telechargeable en anglais ici :

je t ' aurais aussi conseillé de faire la MAJ du BIOS , mais celui-ci est deja en derniere version , donc inutile .

on y voit une carte reseau detectée sur le chipset , qui doit donc etre la carte integrée dont tu parles .
PAR CONTRE : , on remarque que le port PCIE 0 et 1 , partage la meme ressource irq :

a mon avis , tu devrais brancher ta carte reseau PCIE sur le port PCIE 2 et faire un essai , il ya peu de chance que ca marche mais bon ...
Apres cela , si ca ne fonctionne toujours pas , d' apres la doc de ta carte mere ( voir lien plus haut dans ce meme message ) , il y a une configuration a effectuer dans le BIOS pour que la carte soit prise en compte voir paragraphe 1.6 et sous paragraphe :
1.6.2 Configuring an expansion card
After installing the expansion card, configure it by adjusting the software settings.1. Turn on the system and change the necessary BIOS settings, if any. See Chapter 2 for

Je confirme que la carte intégrer est bien vue quelque soit les ports PCI utilisés
(elle chope pas d'IP, mais rien a voir avec mon problème, donc j'ignore).
J'ai virer mon NVMe PCI et tester depuis un live CD (mon OS etant sur mon NVMe en PCI ^^)
La carte 2.5Gbps est uniquement reconnue (visible via lspci) sur le port 16X (les deux 1x vide).
Si je la branche sur chacun des ports PCI 1x (avec les deux autre port libre), rien en lspci...
je ne vois pas d'erreur pouvant être lié à la carte via "dmesg", c'est comme si elle n'etait pas connectée.
(et portant en mettant un RJ45 dessus les LED s'activent. Si le PC est éteint elles s’éteignent donc carte bien alimentée en PCI)
Pour le manuel de ma carte mere, j'avais essayé effectivement de le potasser avec mes faibles connaissances...
Mis a par un partage entre le PCI X16 et le PCI 1_2 de mémoire, rien de particulier. Je m’étais aussi arrêter sur l'IRQ, mais rien trouvé dans le bios pour le regler (ni sur le manuel) :S
Je me demande si le manuel ne serait pas avec une ancienne version de bios...
Dans le doute, j'ai commandé une autre carte identique. je vais déjà voir si le PB ne viendrait pas de la carte tout simplement... Reception Jeudi !

Dans ton BIOS , tu devrais avoir un onglet " PCI " ou peripheriques , un truc dans le genre , bien sur faut que la carte soit insereré , et desactivé le fast boot , peut etre que tu auras alors un section dediée pour cette carte et des reglages a effectuer , meme si logiquement ca devrait etre automatique .
NOTE : si tu ne disposes pas d ' un routeur compatible 2.5 Gb/ , la carte sera reconnue et utilisera la connexion en 1 Gb .
elle n' apportera du coup rien de plus que celle integrée a ta carte mere .
tu peux aussi tester cette commande :
sudo update pciids
qui est censé mettre a jour les correspondances pci , mais vu que la carte est reconnue sur le port PCI0 , ca m ' etonnerait que ca change quoi quece soit .
en rapport avec cette ligne du retour de lshw :

As tu fait quelquechose de special et voulu pour avoir ce resultat ?

Le "update-pciids" n'a rien changé.
Pour le CPU étrange, avec lscpu j'ai bien les 8 thread, les 8 également visible avec htop
mais effectivement sur le lshw l'information de conf porte à confusion...
Mon installation a 3 jours... J'avais shooter le /boot sur mon SSD Sata, ne sachant pas "le reconstruire" j'ai tout reinstaller
(d'ailleur j'ai un menu boot/CSM avec "boot from PCIe/PCI Expansion avec un choix "legacy" et "uefi""... Le NVME serait peut être capable d'être bootable ??? je reesserais peut être...)

Pour le Bios, le manuel est bien correct, et correspond à la version de mon bios.
Aucune option pour gérer le PCI (et d'ailleurs, il a très peu d'option).
Mis à part la gestion des périphériques intégrer (LAN / IGPU) vraiment rien
Pour le 2.5 c'est l'egibilité free fibre qui a créer le besoin (Freebox pop avec donc un port 2.5 Gbps)
(j'avais fini par eteindre mon serveur il y a un an, n’étant pas en IP fixe, c’était toujours le cirque au changement d'IP public )

Bonjour , Pour le disque en lui meme aucun probleme pour qu ' il soit " bootable " , cependant la carte mere etant un peu anterieure aux disques NVME , il se peut qu ' effectivement celle-ci ne gere pas nativement le boot sur ce disque .
si tu veux plus di ' info a ce sujet il faut donner un boot-info en ouvrant un autre post a ce sujet .
Pour la carte reseau 2.5 GB/s , malheureusement je n' ai pas d ' idée supplémentaire a explorer .

Au chanegment de NVME, j'ai refais un test :
Carte 2.5Gb/s (elle ne prends que 4x) sur port 16X, NVME sur port 4X
Les deux fonctionnent.
Mais l'adaptateur PCI que j'ai pour le NVME est sur un format 16x et tient très mal sur le port 4x, donc je ne peux pas rester dans cette conf.
Et pour bien m'achever :
Si je mets deux nvme (adaptateur format 16x), sur le port 16x + un port 4x, les deux NVME fonctionnent !!!
J'y comprends plus rien...

Bonjour , tu devrais faire un schema vite fait , et montrer ce qui fonctionne et ce qui ne fonctionne pas .
Faire des photos du BIOS et vérifier que la gestion des disques dur est bien sur AHCI .
vérifier aussi que l' intel RST est bien désactivé .
le truc c ' est que le BIOS gère la carte mère , mais pas les adaptateurs . il faut être certain que l' adaptateur sait démarrer via le BIOS , ce qui n ' es pas souvent le cas . donc donne la référence de l' adaptateur .
