Problème Thunderbird consommation ressources mémoire
Bonjour,
J'ai depuis quelques jours un problème avec Thunderbird. Il s'est mis à fonctionner avec des moments de blocage intermittents, puis paralysie complète. J'ai constaté dans le logiciel qui permet de voir l'utilisation des ressources que le nombre dans la colonne RSS montait en flèche jusqu'à 5Go et plus et que Thunderbird utilisait bientôt plus de 90% de la mémoire disponible. Les autres logiciels fonctionnent normalement en parallèle, jusqu'à ce qu'il n'y ait plus de ressource disponible.
J'ai essayé d'abord de le nettoyer (vieux messages, suppression de dossier, compactage, etc), mais sans changement.
Hier, après avoir sauvegardé mes comptes, je l'ai désinstallé et j'ai réinstallé une version via flatpak. Tout semblait être rentré dans l'ordre. Mais ce matin ça recommence : blocage dès le démarrage...
Je suis sous Xubuntu 20.04

Depuis que je l'ai réinstallé avec flatpak, c'est la version 128.8.1esr.
Avant, je ne sais pas.
Le problème ne survient que lorsque je démarre Thunderbird, à chaque fois et selon le gestionnaire de tâches, c'est bien lui qui se met à pomper toutes les ressources.
J'essayerais bien ce qui est suggéré, le problème, c'est que le blocage survient dès l'ouverture, je ne peux rien faire...

ouarf , effectivement , gros soucis avec les ressources utilisées par thunderbird .
Il faudrait savoir si tu utilises des extensions dans thunderbird ?
Perso , vu que tu es en 20.04, j ' enleverais la version flatpak de thunderbird , et je l' installerais en .deb " classique " .
il faut avant sauvegardé ce qui a besoin de l ' etre au niveau de thunderbird , si il ya besoin dans un dossier specifique .
je en sais pas faire pour la version flatpak ...
Alors , dans l ' ordre et sans sauter d' étapes
Deja il faudrait nettoyer , les fichiers de personnalisation pour thunderbird :
rm ~/.config/thunderbirdrm ~/.thunderbirdrm ~/.mozilla/thunderbirdQuand tu auras sauvegardé ton profil et tes données de thunderbird ( si besoin ) , désinstalle la version flatpak de thunderbird .
Quand ce sera fait , installe la version deb :
sudo apt install thunderbirdensuite , lance thunderbird , et on repart pour un cycle de verification de l' utilisation des RSS :
free -h top -n 2 -o %MEMlaisse tourner et avant que ca crashe , remontre :
top -n 2 -o %MEM free -h
j ' espère bien qu ' après ça le problème aura disparu .

Pas d'extensions, mais je me suis demandé si le problème ne pouvait pas venir de l'agenda (intégré). Le rappel et la désactivation de certains événements pouvaient parfois être un peu longs.
Par contre, impossible de faire les commandes demandées :

essaie :
rm ~/.mozilla/thunderbirdce n' est pas grave les erreurs .
l' objectif , c' est de préparer un " terrain propre " pour la version deb .
je ne veux pas toucher a la version flatpak , puisque tu n' as pas encore fait de sauvegarde , et ca n' a pas tellement d' intérêt , puisque tu vas la désinstaller par la suite .
