[RESOLU][Karmic Koala]Démarrage très lent lors de la phase de log...
Bonjour à tous.
Lorsque je lance Ubuntu depuis GRUB, tout se passe bien jusqu'au moment de se logguer. Je vois, dans l'ordre:
- le logo Ubuntu pendant 10 secondes (OK),
- puis un écran avec le logo Ubuntu et une barre de chargement pendant environ 10 secondes également (OK),
- par contre, ensuite j'ai un écran noir, avec la souris en mode "chargement" pendant quelques secondes,
- puis l'écran brun "théâtre" et la musique de log. L'écran reste figé comme ça pendant... 3 minutes!
- Au bout de ces 3 minutes, un carré brun foncé apparaît. L'écran reste figé encore pendant 30 secondes.
- Enfin, apparaissent le logo, le nom de l'ordinateur, et les utilisateurs. Après avoir sélectionné l'utilisateur... 30 secondes s'écoulent encore avant de pouvoir entrer le mot de passe.
- Ensuite, le chargement semble normal (ouf!)
J'ai déjà essayé plusieurs choses pour y remédier, par exemple, ajouter "acpi=off" ou "noapic" en options supplémentaires du boot (comme conseillé pour certains, sur d'autres sujets), sans résultat. Quant aux messages indiquant l'avancement... je ne sais pas comment les obtenir, puisque tout est en mode graphique à cette étape (je précise que je suis nouveau sous Linux...)
Toutefois, il est arrivé deux fois, que le démarrage soit "normal"... deux fois isolées, malheureusement

*Ordinateur portable Acer Aspire 5683WLMi
*OS de base: Win XP
*J'ai réalisé récemment un dual boot avec Ubuntu 9.04 (installé depuis un live CD), lequel fonctionnait correctement.
*Je suis passé au 9.10 par upgrade. La partition qui le contient est donc au format ext3.

Vous n'avez pas d'indication?

Par ailleurs, est-ce normal que certains fichiers situés dans /var/log ne s'affichent pas avec gedit?
Impossible d'ouvrir le fichier /var/log/messages avec le codage des caractères ..... .

Peux-tu nous fournir ton « dmesg » juste après le démarrage ? (tapes la commande dans le terminal et colle le résultat ici « en code », car c'est très long)
Cela permettrait d'y voir plus clair et de voir où ça coince.

En voyant les résultats de la commande, je vois clairement que quelque chose foire -- et fait une belle boucle infinie
Le retour est tellement long que je suis obligé de l'envoyer par fichier joint!
J'ai réalisé un premier "dmesg >dmesg.txt" dont voici le résultat:

Peu après, "dmesg >dmesg2.txt" donne ceci:
dmesg2.txt
Je redémarre l'ordi et je renvoie un résultat de dmesg dès que possible

Avec la meilleure volonté, je ne sais pas faire mieux:(
Je précise que je n'ai rien qui soit connecté par fiche USB...
En consultant l'aide pour dmesg, j'ai vu que l'ensemble des messages se trouve dans /proc/kmsg. J'essaie de l'ouvrir pour voir si je peux en tirer quelque chose.

Oui, tu as un souci lié à l'usb à priori.
Mais il vaudrait mieux que tu fournisses le début du résultat, là tu mets l'erreur qui revient en boucle de 20 à 25 minutes (quelle patience !)
- Tu effectues la commande dans le terminal :
dmesg
- Dans le terminal, tu fais un copier du début jusqu'à l'apparition de l'anomalie (voire un peu plus) et tu le colles dans ta réponse.
-Ensuite tu sélectionnes ton collé et tu cliques sur "code" afin de ne pas polluer le forum de réponses interminable.;)
Tu dis que tu n'as rien de connecté en usb ?
Sur portable, certains périphériques sont reconnus en usb. (lecteur de carte par exemple)

Certes, je voudrais bien avoir le début... mais c'est tout ce que me répond dmesg! Le dmesg6, c'est celui que j'ai effectué juste après être loggué.

dmesg >dmesg6.txt

D'ailleurs, si je mettais tout le contenu du fichier en réponse (je l'ai essayé pour le premier fichier), je prendrais une erreur "message trop long"

Tu dis que tu n'as rien de connecté en usb ?
Sur portable, certains périphériques sont reconnus en usb. (lecteur de carte par exemple)
Où puis-je voir quels sont les périphériques connectés?

De mon côté, j'ai repéré des options de boot qui peuvent être utiles pour avoir de meilleurs dmesg: l'option "break".

J'ai essayé l'option "break=bottom", j'ai tapé, au moment où il m'était permis de lancer une commande:
dmesg >/var/bottom_dmesg
mais je n'ai pas pu accéder au fichier que je venais (normalement) de créer...
Comment puis-je récupérer la sortie de dmesg autrement?

Finalement j'ai trouvé le problème!

Tout ça pour dire que le boot lent était dû à une non-reconnaissance de la webcam! Il me suffit, si je vois l'écran initial trop longtemps, de manipuler un peu la webcam pour retrouver une vitesse normale.
