lorsque j'active beryl, mes bordures de fenêtres disparaissent
donc plus moyen de les déplacer
je suis sous ubuntu etch amd64 avec le pilote nvidia 9629 (nvidia 6600gt)

Lance beryl dans un terminal est donne le message obtenu.
Essaye aussi de lancer emerald --remplace dans un terminal et pareil donne le message
d'erreur obtenu.

c bon g trouvé le stuut
me souvenait plus que j'avait fait un nvidia-xconfig apres l'avoir modifié pour beryl
alors du coup mes modifications ont foutu le camps
j'ai refait les modifs et ca marche

le seul prob c'est que ca fait planter ut2004 et que ma barre de menu disparait de tps en tps...

Hello, j'ai le meme probleme que Siden.
J'ai une 7900gt et j'ai installé les derniers pilotes nvidia.

En ajoutant la ligne Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True" cela ne change rien.

J'ai déja poster sur le forum pour ce probleme et on m'a renvoyé ici,
pourriez vous m'aider ?

Je signale juste qu'il est possible de déplacer sa fenêtre sans utiliser les bordures : cliquez au milieu de vos fenêtres en restant appuyé sur Alt.

bonsoir,

J'ai exactement la meme erreur.
Lorsque je lance beryl aucune fenetre n'a d'encadrement.
J'ai essayé ce que vous aviez mit sur le forum mais rien n'y change

le message d'erreur obtenu lorsque je fait un "emerald --remplace" est :

emerald: Could not acquire decoration manager selection on screen 0 display ":0.0"

Que faire?

J'ai le même problème et quand je fait recharger le décorateur de fenetre (emerald), la barre des titres et le contour réapparait

Essaie de changer la valeur "DefaultDepth" à 24 dans le champ "Screen" du fichier "xorg.conf" et relance le serveur X. Dans mon cas la barre de titre est enfin apparue !

J'ai beau tout essayer ce que vous dites dans ce topic, rien ne marche, je n'ai toujours pas de bordures de fenetres, tant que je n'ai pas lancé emerald separement. (:|j'ai rien compris au dernier topic)

Autre truc bizarre: quand je lance beryl-manager, rien ne se passe, mais en tapant beryl, ca marche! (enfin sans les bordures)

Je vois pas trop d'ou ça peut venir le probléme mais puisque ils marchent quand tu les démarre séparement alors je te suggére de mettre beryl puis emerald dans la liste de démarrage de la session au lieu de beryl-manager.
Je sais que ce n'est pas une vraie solution mais bon ... en attendant que d'autres plus expérimenté que moi t'en apportent une meilleure

2) j ai aussi le bord de mes fenetres qui ont bougé et donc les optiosn de fenetres en haut a droite et meme si je change de thème, ils ne reviennent pas !

EDIT: allez dans le gestionaire de béryl ( beryl-manager en commande) puis allez dans l'onglet Window management et cochez l'option attributs de fenêtres

ben en fait, je perds aussi mes titres de fenêtres. J'ai bien vu que je pouvais me servir de la touche ALt mais c'est pas vraiment pratique.

Et malgré les configurations de mon fichier xorg.conf et bien le souci n'est pas réglé.
Il faut savoir que je suis sous la SVN de Beryl, sous Edgy avec une nVidia décrite dans le xorg.

Je ne sais plus quoi tenter.

Et j'ai les derniers drivers nVidia, qui du reste, fonctionnent très bien.

le bord des fenetres ont bougé et les optiosn de fenetres en haut a droite aussi et meme si je change de thème, ils ne reviennent pas !
