Non, c'est une seule et même version Windows 8.

La formulation de HP est étrange, pourquoi préciser "Win8 with no secure boot" dans la colonne "secure boot disabled" dans ce cas ?

Messieurs,
Comme ce PC n'est pas pour moi, le proprio m'a dit que cela lui convenait.
J'arrête donc à ce niveau, j'ai trop gaspillé de temps, je reviendrai sur ce PC si une bonne solution est disponible dans quelques temps.

D'après ton post #24 ("Je mets aussitôt (avant la fin des 10 secondes) la clef liveusb 12.04.3 dans le slot et alors Ubuntu installé sur le PC démarre"), c'est un bug bien bizarre. Moi, je n'ai jamais vu un tel cas. Désolé de n'avoir pu t'aider à trouver une vraie solution.
Edit : c'est aussi bizarre que la manip avec le liveCD que tu as décrite dans le post #18 ("Je redémarre, je mets un livecd dans le tirroir, je choisi la ligne pour démarrer sur Windows
puis, dans windows je redémarre le PC, j'entends le livecd qui tourne et j'arrive sur le menu d'Ubuntu installé sur le disque dur qui me demande le mot de passe utilisateur.")

Les fichiers de démarrage de [L'OS actuellement utilisé - Ubuntu 13.04] sont loin du début du disque. Votre BIOS pourrait ne pas les détecter. Vous voudrez peut-être re-essayer après avoir créé une partition /boot (EXT4, >200MB, en début de disque). Cela peut être réalisé via des outils tels que gParted. Puis sélectionnez cette partition via l'option [Partition /boot séparée :] de [Réparateur de démarrage]. (http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/partition_boot)
Tu peux voir que ton hypothèse n'est pas vérifiée...

Messieurs,
je confirme, Grub ne s'est pas installé sur la clef, car la réaction est la même, que je mette la liveusb dans le slot ou que j'utilise le livecd, il faut que le livecd ou le liveusb soit mis dans le slot ou le tirroir avant le lancement des instructions du démarrage du kernel Ubuntu (dans les 10 secondes définies par le grub), ensuite on peut enlever le liveusb ou le livecd pendant le démarrage d'Ubuntu (les points blancs s'alument sur le fond violet), cela ne bloque pas le démarrage d'Ubuntu, qui se fait comme s'il n'y avait aucun problème.
Tout se passe comme si au démarrage de grub, le système vérifiait la présence d'une version Ubuntu d'origine.
Ce qui me conduit à penser cela, c'est que le seul moyen de lancer Ubuntu correctement, c'est de mettre un livecd ou un liveusb 12.04.3, il n'y a qu'avec cette version que cela fonctionne, même si c'est une version 13.04 qui est installée sur le PC actuellement.
En fait, lorsque j'ai commencé les manips, la première version d'Ubuntu que j'ai installé est la 12.04.3. Je l'ai fait plusieurs fois (je ne sais plus combien) puis j'ai installé la version 13.04.
J'ai l'impression que même désactivé dans le bios, le bootsecure a gardé en mémoire la trace de la première version d'Ubuntu installée et que maintenant, à chaque démarrage d'un kernel Ubuntu, il vérifie quelque chose.
Cette explication est tordue, mais c'est la seule qui me parait logique pour le moment.
Ce qui m'ennuie dans cette histoire, outre que je doive laisser une liveusb continuellement branchée sur le PC, c'est que je suis incapable de lancer une session livecd ou un liveusb, car à chaque fois, on démarre sur Ubuntu qui est installée sur le PC.
Si celui-ci était à moi, j'aurais formaté le disque dur, viré tout ce bazar et installé ubuntu (en espérant que le bios m'ait laissé le faire).

Il me semble qu'avec le shell de l'UEFI , il y a une option pour vider la mémoire, cela n'a peut-être rien a voir, donc a utiliser qu'avec les conseils de personnes compétentes .

problème retrouvé sur ASUS portable
impossible de démarré linux après grub
-> écran violet et pas d'accès aux tty
bcp de recherches et pas de bidouilles
si ce n'est l'ajout de de fichiers dans /boot/grub
nomodeset n'a rien donné
j'ai des éditions de grub identiques à celui trouvé plus haut
sauf la solution : démarrage avec une clé multisystem dans usb
ça ne touche à rien mais ça lance ubuntu normalement
