Acceleration 3d et changement d'utilisateur
Bonjour,
Je ne sais pas si ce probleme a deja trouvé sa réponse, mais je ne l'ai pas trouvé sur ce forum.
Je possède une carte ATI Radeon 9550 et l'acceleration 3d est installée et fonctionnelle avec le driver téléchargé sur le site d'ATI.
Mon problème est le suivant : Lorsque je change d'utilisateur (ouverture d'une nouvelle session x et nouveau serveur x) je n'ai l'acceleration 3d que sur le premier utilisateur (ctrl+alt+f7) et non sur le deuxieme (ctrl+alt+f8).

Le deuxième utilisateur est bien dans le groupe "video" ?
Mais je ne suis pas sûr que les pilotes fglrx supportent l'accélération graphique sur 2 serveurs graphiques en parallèle.

Dans les propriétés du deuxième utilisateur il ne faut pas oublier de lui permettre d'utiliser l'accélération 3D (cocher "Utiliser l'accélération vidéo" dans l'onglet Privilèges utilisateur du gestionnaire d'utilisateurs pour l'utilisateur concerné - ça fait beaucoup d' "utilisateur" :S ).

L'utilisateur en question fait bien parti du groupe video et l'acceleration video est cochée pour le 2eme utilisateur... donc pas de resultat de ce coté

C'est sur le display 1 qu'il doit aller. Je sais pas trop où modifier le bordel de tête, mais à mon humble avis le soucis vient de là : il essaye de lancer l'affichage sur le display 0 (ctrl+alt+f7), ce qui lui est refusé par le X qui tourne déjà dessus. Donc il faut trouver le moyen de tout rediriger vers le display 1. Il y a peut-être quelque chose à exploiter dans les tutos de xgl et de compiz, il a souvent été question de redirection de display pour jouer à des jeux sans passer par xgl.

Je poste mon message ici car aprés une petite recherche, mon problème à l'air d'être similaire à celui ci.
Je viens juste de passer à Ubuntu Draper. L'installation est vraiment facile. J'ai réussi à installer du 1ier coup ma carte Wifi et ma carte ATI radeon 9600 en suivant ce tuto http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/materiel/ati.:lol:
Le problème c'est qu'il semble y avoir un effet de bord génant à l'installation de la carte graphique : Dés que je veux veux ouvrir une session suplémentaire (changer d'utilisateur), l'affichage plante:mad: et le system avec...
La session active disparait, puis sur un écran type console, il y a cela (je me suis tout palucher à la main) :

J'ai fait des autres manips :
Aprés être loguer, j'ouvre une console txt (ctr alt F2)
Je me logue avec un autre utilisateur, puis je lance X sous une autre session (startx -- :1)
Et là, c'est le drame:

J'ai aussi essayé la simple déconnexion ca plantge aussi. L'invite de commande pour se loguer ne s'affiche pas.
Est ce qu'il y a des fichier log à regarder pour résoudre cePB ?

Si j'ai bien compris, tu ne peux pas utiliser Xgl sur un autre utilisateur que celui de départ, soit, celui sous lequel tu as tapé tes commandes à l'installation d'Xgl?
Il faut nous indiquer quel procédure tu as utilisée pour installer Xgl.
Soit le choix de session (avec un menu qui permet de choisir Xgl).
Soit directement en lancant ta session.
Pour ma part, Xgl s'est mis à focntionner sous un autre user sans que je lui demande... puis il a disparu de ce user...

Certes je ne peut plus changer de d'utilisateur, ni même me déconnecter.

Bonjour à tous,
C'est mon 1er post ici malgre le fait que je suis sous ubuntu depuis que la Dapper est sortie, avant j'etais sur mandrake 10.1.
Grace a ce forum j'ai pu resoudre tous mes pb jusqu'a present.
Et depuis que j'ai installé les drivers proprio ATI (9800 pro) j'ai egalement ce pb d'ecran noir des que je ferme la session ou change d'utilisateur. Alt f1 f2 fn ne font rien et le ctrl alt backspace fait rebooter la machine.
J'ai lu qq part une astuce au niveau de gdm que je n'ai pas encore essayé mais d'autre l'on fait sans succes et donc je prends les devant en postant ici.
Je vous remercie par avance de votre contribution pour que le chmilblic avance.

Je confirme que l'astuce au niveau de GDM fonctionne et a bien resolue tous ces pb de changement utilisateur et fin de session.
Pour rappel :
Un contournement qui fonctionne généralement pour les gels du système à la fermeture de session à cause des pilotes fglrx : édite le fichier /etc/gdm/gdm.conf-custom, ajoute AlwaysRestartServer=true sous la section [daemon], et redémarre gdm : sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart

Un contournement qui fonctionne généralement pour les gels du système à la fermeture de session à cause des pilotes fglrx : édite le fichier /etc/gdm/gdm.conf-custom, ajoute AlwaysRestartServer=true sous la section [daemon], et redémarre gdm : sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart

Celà résout le pb de deconnection, mais c'est toujours impossible de changer de d'utilisateur.
Je vais peut être aussi creuser sur la configuration de GDM.

J'ai le même souci avec une Edgy et une ATI radeon 9600
Pas de 3D pour le deuxieme utilisateur qui se connecte alors que le premier a bien la 3D. avec en bonus des plantages de temps en temps à la connexion du deuxieme utilisateur (tout est bloqué + écran noir).
L'astuce du AlwaysRestartServer=true ne fonctionne pas dans mon cas non plus.
Par ailleurs, je n'ai pas de groupe utilisateur 'video'. Dois-je en créer un et y mettre mes utilisateurs ?
