Brother HL-L3230CDW problème d'impression recto-verso

Bonjour,

Sur mon imprimante HL-L3230CDW, lorsque je veux imprimer en recto-verso, je sélectionne le retournement sur bord long (façon livre) et systématiquement, c'est imprimé avec un retournement bord court (façon carnet de notes). Et si je sélectionne le retournement sur bord court, j'obtiens le même résultat.

Un idée ?

Bonjour , pilote et firmware imprimante à jour ?
j ' ai presque la même
elle est connectée en reseau , et sur l' ordi windobz , il y a eu récemment une MAJ du firmware pour mon imprimante , il y environ 2 mois .
par contre je ne sais pas comment faire pour mettre le firmware à jour a partir de linux , tiens , je ne me suis jamais posé la question .

A priori, je suis à jour au niveau du firmware (version 1.41). Je viens de télécharger le pilote en .deb. Je vais voir si c'est celui-ci que j'ai.

Ben..., d'habitude, pour installer un .deb, je fais sudo dpkg -i package.deb et là, ça marche pô.

ha , et suivre les indications du pilote que tu telecharges sur le lien de telechargement , ce n' est pas la bonne methode selon toi ?

Je n'ai pas dit ça. J'ai juste dit que lorsque je tombe sur un fichier .deb, je saute immédiatement sur dpkg.

J'ai téléchargé le linux-printer-installer chez Brother, puis je l'ai édité pour voir ce qu'il y a dedans. C'est vachement touffu, avec la licence (en anglais et en chinois), par endroit, ça traite aussi de l'installation de scanner. Ça ne me donne pas vraiment envie.

J'ai aussi regardé le contenu du .deb. Il y a peu de choses à installer. Ça doit pouvoir facilement se faire à la main. Par contre, il y a un utilitaire à installer dans /bin qui est en 32bits, donc incompatible avec un système 64bits. Bion, ça ressemble à un utilitaire de réglage dont on ne doit pas avoir trop l'utilité.

Enfin, dans la copie d'écran d'exécution de la procédure d'installation que tu as fournie, j'aime bien cette ligne fournie par l'utilitaire : "lpadmin: Printer drivers are deprecated and will stop working in a future version of CUPS".

cela s ' installe sans soucis . le64bit supporte le 32 bit . l ' inverse non .

pour mon imprimante j' ai installé le pilote de brother , je n' ai peut etre pas encore explorer toutes les possibilités d' impression , car cela fait que 2 ans que je l' ai et je me limite a des choses basiques en general .
Cela dit , tout fonctionne parfaitement .

le seul truc que j' ai repéré , c' est une erreur avec leur fichier " rules " . mais à priori , ca n' a pas d' incidence sur le fonctionnement . en tout cas rien remarqué de ce coté là .

Pour :

Enfin, dans la copie d'écran d'exécution de la procédure d'installation que tu as fournie, j'aime bien cette ligne fournie par l'utilitaire : "lpadmin: Printer drivers are deprecated and will stop working in a future version of CUPS".

je pense que c' est un message du serveur CUPS . on voit cela pour toute les imprimantes . suffit de regarder dans les autres discussions sur le forum ou de faire une recherche .

"lpadmin: Printer drivers are deprecated and will stop working in a future version of CUPS"

C'est probablement en prévision du futur passage à la version 3 de cups, qui ne supportera plus les pilotes d'imprimantes présentement utilisés ?

... ll y est mentionné une future "architecture modulaire" qui remplacerait l'utilisation des pilotes ?

La première réponse vide me semble normale puisque je n'ai pas installé le paquet driver brother.

Pour la deuxième ; mon imprimante n'a pas de scanner intégré. Je ne suis donc pas concerné.

Afin de préciser mon souci :

- mon imprimante est connectée en réseau,
- sur mon imprimante, j'ai activé le serveur IPP,
- sur mon imprimante, j'ai activé mDNS,
- sur mes divers PC, l'imprimante s'annonce à chaque lancement de session,
- l'impression se déroule parfaitement,
- si je demande l'impression recto-verso, celle-ci se déroule effectivement recto-verso.

Lorsque j'ai acheté cette imprimante, j'ai découvert cette anomalie de retournement sur bord court. Puis, il y a quelques semaines, ça s'est mis à fonctionner correctement sans que je puisse savoir pourquoi. Puis ça s'est mis à redéconner.

tu n' as pas noté les dates et / ou les changements qui ont eu lieu ? ( MAJ ou installation / desinstallation de logiciel par toi-meme )
Donc à priori , ca a plutot un rapport avec CUPS et pas avec le pilote .

Franchement, je n'en sais rien du tout. C'est pour ça que je suis venu demander de l'aide.

Pour ce qui est des changements, je fais régulièrement les mises à jour, donc, chez moi, il y a quelque chose qui change en moyenne tous les deux jours ; en tout cas, plus souvent que je n'imprime recto-verso, d'autant que j'avais un peu laissé tomber cette fonctionnalité que je n'arrivais pas à faire fonctionner comme je le voulais.
