[Résolu] Installation sur Asus N56VJ

Bonsoir tout le monde ! Je possède actuellement un pc portable Asus N56VJ qui tourne sous Windows 7 64, mais par soucis de rapidité notamment, j'aimerais faire un dual boot avec Ubuntu. Jusque la, pas de soucis pour moi, mais je me posais quelques questions :
-Sachant que je voudrais utiliser exclusivement le gpu intel, sauf de très rares occasions ou la carte Nvidia sera sollicitée, Prime semble-t-il une bonne solution ?
-Quel environnement et quels logiciels me conseillerez-vous pour avoir un système fluide, pratique et sans trop d'accès disque ? (Le disque dur est le point faible du PC)
-Enfin, si quelqu'un possède un Asus N56 ou N76 sous Ubuntu ou dérivés, pourrrait-t-il me dire si le système fonctionne bien dessus ?

Il faut vérifier si Windows 7 est installé en mode EFI ou en mode Bios (non-EFI) afin d'installer Ubuntu dans le même mode que Windows 7. Les explications sont dans ce tuto : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=986671

Pas de soucis pour ça, le pc était sous 8 et je l'ai passé sous 7 en mode BIOS, je pense que ca sera plus simple ainsi

Il faudra donc installer Ubuntu en mode Bios (non-EFI) et pour ce faire il conviendra de démarrer l'ordi sur ton support live (liveDVD ou liveUSB) de Ubuntu en mode non-EFI. Le moyen de bien identifier le mode est présenté dans 2.5 Identifier si l'ordinateur démarre sur le CD (ou la live USB) en mode EFI. Par conséquent, il faudra que tu vois cet écran pour être sûr de démarrer en mode non-EFI et à partir de là, tu pourras lancer ton installation.

Bonsoir ! Comme j'installe via une clé usb créée avec LinuxLive USB creator, je ne vois pas cette fameuse image, et je me retrouve confronté à un autre soucis : l'installateur voit mon disque dur comme étant vide ! Or, j'ai 500gb d'alloué à Windows 7 et j'aimerais bien conserver mes données, que faire ? Merci d'avance car la je suis perdu

Hello, je viens aux nouvelles ! Hier soir j'ai sauvegardé toutes mes données et tenté plusieurs choses : réinstallation de Windows 7 puis Ubuntu -> pas de changement
Ubuntu puis Windows 7 -> L'installateur refuse d'installer sur une table de partition GPT (alors que Ubuntu a été booté en mode non-EFI)
Du coup, la je réinstalle Windows 7 sur une partition de 640go, en laissant 70go de libres pour Ubuntu. Suite à cette installation, je réaliserai la procédure de malbo et vous posterai le résultat. Merci de votre aide !

Si tu as une table de partition GPT, c'est que ton BIOS est en mode EFI/UEFI.

Donc, il faut installer Windows et Ubuntu en mode EFI/UEFI.

Justement, à ce propos, l'utilitaire de disque d'Ubuntu voit bien ma partition Windows, me signale que je suis en GPT, mais n'est pas capable de formater le disque. Et l'installateur ne voit toujours rien

Pour un dualboot Windows/Ubuntu, il ne faut pas formater le disque-dur. Sinon, tu perds tout. Windows y compris.

Et l'installeur d'Ubuntu est mal foutu, il ne voit pas Windows. Il faut passer par "Autre chose" quand l'installeur te demande ce qu'il faut faire.

C'est justement quand je passe par "autre chose" que je ne vois pas ma partition Windows ^^ il me dit donc que j'ai un espace non alloué de 750go (taille de mon DD). Et sinon pour ce qui est d'un dual-boot Windows Ubuntu je n'en suis pas à mon coup d'essai, mais la c'est la première fois que je me retrouve confronté à un soucis de ce genre. As-tu réduit la partition de Windows pour avoir un espace libre?

Espace libre veut dire: pas de partition à cet endroit.

Comme dit précédemment, j'ai, laissé 70Go d'espace disque libre (donc bien sans aucune partition) pour l'installation d'Ubuntu. Cet espace est visible dans l'utilitaire de disque de Ubuntu, mais non modifiable. Je pense qu'il y a un conflit entre le MBR de Windows 7 et Ubuntu qui voit mon disque comme étant en GPT

Cela veut dire qu'initialement, la table de partition du disque dur était GPT mais que cette table de partition a été mal transformée en MSDOS ce qui fait qu'il reste des traces de l'ancien partitionnement GPT. C'est ça qui bloque.

Sur la base du descriptif que je vois dans ta signature pour ton ordi Asus N56VJ, j'ai trouvé ce modèle ASUS N56VJ-S3005H visible ici
Pourrais-tu confirmer qu'il s'agit de ce modèle ? Si ce n'est pas ça, peux-tu préciser le nom complet du modèle car je voudrais l'ajouter dans la Liste des portables « Asus »
Peux-tu confirmer (ou pas) que Windows 8 était préinstallé dans cet ordi ? Je pose cette question parce que j'ai l'impression que le pb que tu as rencontré, ça se passe quasiment tout le temps avec les ordis qui étaient préinstallés Windows 8. Je n'en suis pas sûr mais je pense que ça se produit quand on cherche à remplacer Windows 8 préinstallé par Windows 7 (les modalités pratiques qui font que l'accident se produit, je ne les connais pas mais c'est le contexte général)

Bonsoir. Oui, c'est bien le N56VJ-S3005H que je possède, et il était préinstallé avec Windows 8 64bits, que j'avais remplacé par Windows 7 uniquement. Si cela peut t'aider, aucun soucis depuis l'installation, Prime marche super bien, il y a juste la batterie qui se décharge plus vite que sous Windows 7. Bonne soirée et n'hésite pas si tu as besoin de plus d'infos

Redonne un rapport de Boot Info depuis ton Ubuntu installé, juste pour voir ce qu'il raconte.

Surtout, ne fais pas de réparation, juste le rapport.

Les fichiers de démarrage de [L'OS actuellement utilisé - Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS] sont loin du début du disque. Votre BIOS pourrait ne pas les détecter. Vous voudrez peut-être re-essayer après avoir créé une partition /boot (EXT4, >200MB, en début de disque). Cela peut être réalisé via des outils tels que gParted. Puis sélectionnez cette partition via l'option [Partition /boot séparée :] de [Réparateur de démarrage]. (http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/partition_boot)

C'est parfait ton dual-boot. Il n'y a plus de trace de GPT.

EDIT : je viens d'ajouter le modèle N56VJ-S3005H dans la Liste des portables « Asus »
