Qu'est-ce que tu veux dire par là ?

Mon pc est (...) carte graphique interne ( Intel Corporation 82915G/GV/910GL Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 04) ) et je suis sous Jessie Debian 8 Mate. Et ça roule super bien.

Ta carte Intel est prise en charge ; les vieilles nVidia ne le sont pas.

Hier j'ai passé 15 minutes à comparer les retours de :
sudo lshw|grep -iC 29 "*-bank:1"
et de :
sudo lshw -c memory -sanitize
avant de comprendre, que c'était à peu près les mêmes résultats (mais différents quant à la présentation).

sudo lshw|grep -iC 29 "*-bank:1" ne me parle PAS DU TOUT.

sudo lshw -c memory -sanitize me renseigne sur les informations relatives à la mémoire en masquant les numéros de série.

Manifestement, même si je doute encore de cat /var/log/dmesg | head -n 800 et que je n'ai pas envie de perdre ma journée à comparer,
2039M ne peut se faire à partir de 1024M+512M.

Mais 2039M < 2048M et 2039M < 2560M et seulement cette information ne permet pas de conclure complètement, le début de dmesg me renseignera globalement sur ce qui se passe dans cette machine.

Cela comporte un peu plus de risque que d'allumer ou d'éteindre la machine, c'est vrai, mais il y a des procédures qui limitent les risques, et en général ça se passe bien.

C'est un portable, donc flashrom ne fonctionne pas forcément, je vais me renseigner mais FDOS avec le programme dos/windows, ne semble pas poser de problème particulier. C'est comme ça que j'ai souvent flasher ROM (BIOS) et contrôleurs de disques durs.

Moko138, as-tu pensé, si tu as redémarré l'ordinateur, à vérifier dans le BIOS et à ne réserver que 32 Mio ou 64 Mio pour la partie graphique ? C'est qui est beaucoup plus qu'il n'en faut réellement.

grep -C 29 "*-bank:1" prend 29 lignes de part et d'autre de *-bank:1".
Donc on a toute la mémoire (sauf s'il y a plus de 4 connecteurs).

Rappelle-toi que, quelle que soit la commande (dmesg ou cat /var/log/dmesg ou autre), le terminal n'affiche que les n dernières lignes.
Chez moi n est réglé à 2500.
Donc dmesg|head -n 800 prend les 800 premières lignes parmi les 2500 dernières !

Mais avec un uptime de presque 5 jours, et un dmesg farci de lignes relatives à la wifi, 2.500 lignes me fait seulement remonter à

[168277.251857] ieee80211 (...) dropping

D'où l'intérêt de

cat /var/log/dmesg | head -n 800

qui donnne bien, quoi que tu aies écrit, les 800 premières lignes que tu voulais.

Ou alors explique-moi où je me trompe.

Cet exemple prouve la non-égalité entre les commandes dmesg et le fichier /var/log/dmesg.

Donc ça fait perdre du temps et ce n'est pas cool.

Je te propose donc ici une autre solution qui ne sera pas dépendante de ton réglage d'historique de lignes de la console :

sudo dmesg > ~/Bureau/dmesg.txt

Mais j'utilise Trusty (et parfois Precise).

Une écran logique, en couleurs 8 bits par composante, donc 24 bits = 3 octets par pixel, consomme largeur_pixels×hauteur_pixel*3 octets.
Par exemple en 1920×1080×3=6220800 octets=6075Kio.

Avec la technique du dual-playfield qui consiste à préparer une image avant de l'afficher, il faut donc 12150Kio en 1920×1080×24 bits ≤ 12 Mio.

Certaines cartes graphiques travaillent sur 4 images à la fois, donc ≤ 24 Mio dans tous les cas d'un seul écran 1920×1080×24 bits.

On ajoute un écran externe ? on ne travaille pas forcément en dual-playfield, donc dans le pire des cas la vidéo consomme 48 Mio maximum pour deux écrans physiques en 1920×1080×24 bits.

Mais ton écran principal n'est pas forcément en 1920×1080×24 sur ton ordinateur portable. En plus la technique des 4 images (1 affichée - 3 images en cache) n'est pas forcément utilisée. Le dual-playfiled peut l'être, et dans le cas de vidéo 2D, une seule image peut n'être qu'utilisée (6075 Kio).

En 1024×768×24bits→2304 Kio (< 3 Mio) pour un écran 2D de bureautique.

Rien ne t'empêche un jour de n'allouer que 8Mio pour la carte graphique, de tester VLC avec une vidéo plein écran, et d'augmenter 16Mio, 32Mio… si 8 Mio ne suffisent pas à afficher correctement VLC.

Non, ta sortie commence à [168348.069182] pour une autre raison que le nombre de lignes d'historiques qui n'intervient pas du tout dans la commande d'écriture directe de la sortie de dmesg dans un fichier.

Alors j'ai passé l'historique à 10 lignes. Fermé le terminal, puis j'ai rouvert le terminal (réinitialisation) et j'ai lancé la commande suivante :

sudo dmesg > ~/Bureau/dmesg.txt
[sudo] Mot de passe de ubuntu : 
ubuntu@ubuntu-64:~$ 

Puis voici le contenu du fichier généré. Donc ce que tu penses a peut-être évolué, mais je ne pense pas que le nombre de lignes d'historique de l'affichage influe sur le retour de la commande dmesg directement dans un fichier, enfin, pas à ma connaissance.

moko138 n'aime que les PC qui font au moins 100 watts à la prise ! (humour noir)

Le Raspberry Pi2 ne fait que 2 watts à 4 watts, ce n'est pas assez pour moko138 :'(

Du coup, le pauvre RPi2 est resté inopérant… :"(

Le jour où ce sont les GigaHertz qui feront la performance d'un ordinateur, alors peut-être que la NASA et l'ESA (Agence Spatiale Européenne) utiliseront des processeurs avec des fréquences d'horloges supérieures à 150 MHz.

150 MHz seulement pensent les gens ? Oui mais 150 MHz en 128 bits, c'est suffisant… wink

Il va falloir ouvrir un bogue pour systemd !

Systemd doit se substituer à Upstart "qui est lent".

C'est loupé, les ordinateur mettent 4 à 8 fois plus de temps pour démarrer avec Systemd sur mes ordinateurs, et comment ça se passent sur vos machines ?
