[Résolu] Installer ubuntu sur Pc Msi freedos
Bonjour à tous,
j'ai fait l'acquisition d'un pc portable MSI GL62M 7REX-2056XFR. Il n'y a que FreeDOS dessus donc...
Souhaitant installer Ubuntu, j'ai créer une clé bootable avec le logiciel Rufus, j'ai vérifier l'intégrité de mon ISO en comparant les empreintes, j'ai ensuite testé la clé en faisant booter le pc que j'utilise actuellement dessus, ubuntu s'est bien lancé et j'ai pu atteindre le menu d'installation.
Je met donc la clé sur mon nouveau pc MSI, j'atteint le menu Boot, et je choisi de booter sur mon USB, l'écran d'ubuntu avec les deux petits logo en bas s'affiche, très rapidement au bout de quelques secondes un chargement se lance, puis se bloque, et reste bloqué indéfiniment.
Je réessaye plus tard, même problème.
J'ai essayer de trouver des réponses sur le net et la doc, rien... enfin rien de clair.
Quelqu'un saurait quel est le problème ?

Bonjour,
Le problème, c'est la prise en charge de la carte graphique par le pilote libre nouveau.
Il faut passer le paramètre nomodeset comme indiqué ici: https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/kernel#modifi … ssion-live
Après l'installation, tu peux repasser ce paramètre afin de démarrer, puis aller dans Logiciels et mises à jour -> pilotes addtionnels afin d'installer les pilotes de ta carte graphique et de ton processeur.

Merci beaucoup, j'ai suivi les indications et je suis actuellement en pleine installation, il ne semble y avoir aucun problème. Je vous remercie infiniment ^^
Tout de même, avant le lancement des fenêtres d'installation, un message d'erreur disant quelque chose comme "can't find region..." je ne me souvient plus de la suite est apparu seulement quelques secondes, je dois m'en préoccuper ?
Autre question : MSI recommande d'installer leur pilotes officiels etc etc, sur mon document il est écrit que les pré requis sont le Freedos MSI et vvindovvs, pour les installer je dois aller dans une partition déjà faite sur le disque, je peux les installer quand même avec ubuntu ou ducou je dois en installer d'autres compatible ?

Je ne reconnais pas l'erreur mais d'après mes recherches ce n'est pas grave, et ça va peut être même disparaître après l'installation des pilotes propriétaires.

Ah, problème : je vais dans Logiciels et Mises à jour : Pilotes additionnels.
Résultat : erreur interne
Dans mes périphériques j'ai le "DriverCD" de msi affiché, je suppose que je dois donc les installer ? (aufait merci de la rapidité de vos réponses)
J'ai essayer de lancer le CD setup pour voir si je pouvais les installer et j'obtient : "une erreur s'est produite durant le chargement de l'archive"
et dans les fichier du Driver CD, deux dossier ont vvindovvs 10 dans leur nom, mes pilotes seraient-il donc seulement compatible avec vvindovvs ?

As-tu fait ton installation de Ubuntu et si oui, arrives-tu à démarrer une session (*) sur ton Ubuntu installé ?
(*) pour ce faire, tu peux être obligé d'ajouter le paramètre de noyau nomodeset comme j'explique là : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.p … 1#p9820021
Si tu ne vois pas le menu Grub au démarrage de l'ordi, redémarre et presse immédiatement la touche SHIFT au redémarrage: ça doit faire apparaître le menu Grub.

Oui je peux démarrer une session, et le menu grub s'affiche automatiquement quand j'allume mon ordinateur.
(je suis déjà passé par le paramètre nomodeset comme conseillé plus haut et j'ai pu installer ubuntu) Mais maintenant j'ai des problèmes pour installer mes pilotes et l'affichage du bureau (déplacement fenêtres, souris, écrans) est lent et saccadé donc je suppose problème de pilotes...

N'essaie plus d'installer tes pilotes pour le moment. Démarre une session sur ton Ubuntu installé et depuis cette session fais un Boot-Info en suivant les indications du paragraphe 1.1 Cas où au moins un ubuntu installé sur disque est opérationnel. Tu donneras l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse.

par contre je ne comprends toujours pas comment installer mes pilotes, est ce qu'il me suffit d'aller dans Logiciels et Mises à jours ? Un pilotes Nvidia apparait
et pour ce qui est du DriverCD MSI ? que faire

Je commence par la fin (DriverCD) : on mentionne la partition DriverCD en page 2 de ce doc : How to Install Windows OS on Free DOS platform
Si tu lis l'ensemble de ce doc, tu verras que cette partition DriverCD contient des drivers pour Windows aussi je te conseille d'abandonner l'idée d'utiliser ça.
La seule chose que tu as à faire, c'est de sélectionner "Utilisation de NVIDIA binary driver" dans l'onglet "Pilotes additionnels" de "Logiciels et mises à jours" (photo) et de valider ce choix en cliquant sur "Appliquer les changements". Cela va entraîner le téléchargement automatique de ce pilote et son installation. Au redémarrage de l'ordi, ça devrait être nickel. Si ce n'est pas le cas, refais un Boot-Info et donne l'URL dans ta réponse.

D'accord c'est bien ce que je pensais...
J'ai installer mon pilote Nvidia, effectivement tout est nickel, rien à signaler (enfin à part que je n'arrive pas à faire marcher ma souris usb mais bon rien de bien grave) !

Je viens d'ajouter ton modèle GL62M 7REX-2056XFR dans la Liste des portables « MSI »
Pour mémoire, ce modèle visible sur cette page est équipé d'un processeur Intel core i5-7300HQ et d'une carte graphique dédiée NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Mon commentaire : tu aurais dû virer dès le départ tes partitions FREEDOS et DriverCD. Tous les gus qui achètent un préinstallé FreeDOS virent ces partitions. Cela dit, ces deux partitions ne prennent pas beaucoup de place dans ton cas puisque tu as un disque dur de grande taille (elles t'ont pris seulement 5%). Mais si un jour tu dois faire une installation toute neuve de Ubuntu, je te conseille de supprimer ces deux partitions inutiles.
