Échec de l'autotest (court ou étendu) d'estimation globale du disque
Salut,
Il y a deux semaines, la lanière de mon sac en bandoulière a subitement lâchée, alors que je me tenais debout dans la rue, et le sac -ainsi que l'ordinateur portable qui s'y trouvait- chut d'un peu plus de la moitié de ma hauteur et heurta l'asphalte du trottoir. Preuve du choc, la coque s'est fissurée en un angle de l'ordinateur.
Celui-ci démarre toujours. Le système d'exploitation de Windows démarrait, mais celui d'Ubuntu lançait la busybox. Après l'fsck que suggérait la busybox, j'ai pu retrouver Ubuntu, qui est tout de même beaucoup plus long.
Les donnée S.M.A.R.T. et autotests du logiciel Disques m'indiquaient deux secteurs défectueux, mais son auto-estimation est que le seuil est non-dépassé. L'autotest, en revanche, échoue systématiquement à dépasser les dix pour cent d'analyse ("Autotest en cours --- 90 % restant"), puis renonce d'un "échec de l'auto-test" en capitales rouges. Après ces échecs, le logiciel disque indiquait trois, puis cinq, puis neuf secteurs défectueux.
J'ai acheté un disque dur externe pour copier les données importantes de mon disque dur, ai copié la plupart de celles-ci, et en ai emprunté un nouveau en attendant.
J'y reviens deux semaines plus tard pour achever ces copies de sauvegarde et pour tenter de résoudre le problème.
J'en suis là, à présent :
- mon ordinateur est un Easynote ENLG81BA
- Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS est significativement plus lent au démarrage et à l'utilisation de Firefox qu'il ne l'était avant le choc ;
- Windows 10 fonctionne mieux ;
- les deux systèmes d'exploitation sont sur des partitions distinctes d'un même disque dur [modèle : ST1000LM024 HN-M101MBB (2BA30001)] dont 9 secteurs sont reconnus défectueux ;
- Je n'ai guère testé les autres applications, ni n'ai mis à jour le système d'exploitation ;
- les autotests court et étendu du logiciel Disques faillent systématiquement alors que 90 % du test semble encore à faire) ;
- le logiciel Disques auto-estime que le seuil n'est pas dépassé.
Que devrais-je faire ?

Bonjour.
Peux-tu publier le rapport smartctl?
sudo smartctl -s on -a /dev/sda
Àprès une chute, je serais surpris qu'il n'y ait que 9 secteurs impactés.
Si c'est vrai, la commande hdparm bien paramétrée va remettre en état.

Puis tu relanceras un test court pour trouver le neuvième secteur que tu répareras de la même façon
puis tu lanceras un test long afin de voir s'il n'y en a pas d'autres
sudo smartctl -t select,0-1999999999 /dev/sda
et tu posteras un retour la commande
sudo smartctl -A /dev/sda
lorsque cette commande de test sera finie
Pour son suivi
sudo smartctl -a /dev/sda | grep left

Merci encore.
Je n'étais pas trop sûr de savoir s'il me fallait faire "entrer" entre chacune des lignes de ta commande ou tout taper à la suite.
J'ai finalement copié ta commande depuis le forum, collée dans le terminal. Le terminal a récupéré le formatage du forum, avec la mise à la ligne correspondante, mais précédée d'un symbole ">".
J'espère qu'il fallait bien faire ainsi.
Après avoir appuyé sur entrée, voici le résultat de ma réparation des huit secteurs :

Dois-je plutôt faire un test depuis l'interface graphique de Disques ?

Il faut maintenant relancer un test court
S'il plante, tu redonnes le retour de la commande smartctl
S'il ne plante pas, il faut lancer un test long, suivre son exécution et lorsque c'est terminé, donner le retour de la commande smartctl

J'en déduis que je ne touche jamais à la graphie de ta commande, exception faite de sa première ligne "sect=#" où je renseigne le premier "LBA_of_first_error" du SMART Self-test log structure revision number 1" de la première ligne, jusqu'à ce que la commande de vérification ne m'indique plus de problèmes. Me trompé-je ?
Je lance les commandes que tu me suggères.

Disques échoue à nouveau son auto-test court, sans dépasser les 10 %, toutefois, le texte de l'auto-diagnostique est devenu : "le disque est sain, 7 secteurs endommagés" (plutôt que 8 précédemment).
Dois-je modifier la commande

C'est la méthode à faire lorsqu'on pense que peu de secteurs sont atteints.
Dans le cas contraire, on essaie d'en établir une liste dans un fichier avec la commande badbocks
Mais cela se fait uniquement pour les partitions formatées en EXT4
L'autre solution étant d'utiliser ddrescue afin d'en avoir la liste pour tout le disque

Disques échoue à nouveau son auto-test court, sans dépasser les 10 %, toutefois, le texte de l'auto-diagnostique est devenu : "le disque est sain, 7 secteurs endommagés" (plutôt que 8 précédemment).
Dois-je modifier la commande

ou est-ce sans lien aucun ?
Tu ne modifies pas.
Le secteur physique fait 4096 octets soit exactement 8 secteurs logiques de 512 octets
autant traiter les huit d'un coup

L'auto-test court est achevé avec succès. Le disque est sain. Je procède à l'auto-test étendu (via l'interface graphique de Disques).

C'est un bon début.
Je ne connais pas trop si, avec l'interface graphique, en cas de plantage, on peut reprendre à l'endroit planté ou s'il repart du début.
Avec cette commande
sudo smartctl -t select,0-1999999999 /dev/sda
On peut le faire repartir du secteur d'arrêt avec cette commande
sudo smartctl -t select,next /dev/sda

Bonjour à tous,
Problème similaire pour moi.
Je suis passé sur Ubuntu depuis plus de 5 ans et j'arrivais à me débrouiller jusqu'à présent.
Cependant, en allumant mon ordinateur portable il y a 2 jours, j'ai cru qu'il était définitivement perdu.
Voici ce qu'il m'affichait :
J'ai été obligé de l'éteindre de force en restant appuyé sur Power.
Suite à cela, il se rallume et refonctionne parfaitement, étrange ?
J'ai tout de même effectué toutes les sauvegardes sur un hdd externe.
En procédant aux tests SMART depuis Disques et GSmartControl, les auto-tests Short plantent tous à 20%.
Et malheureusement, je n'ai pas les connaissances pour décrypter les résultats du test.
Voici les informations de l'ordinateur :
- ASUS N56JR acheté sous Windows 8 (et oui..)
- Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS installé sur SSD Crucial MX300 en 05/2016 suite à un plantage du HDD originel

Dans un premier temps, installe l'application smartmontools
sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends smartmontools
et publie l'état du disque SSD
sudo smartctl -s on -a /dev/sda

Je connais mal l'interprétation du rapport pour les SSD.
En tout cas, il y a pas mal d'erreurs

Sur ce type de disque j'ai souvent vu le message de perte de courant électrique "Unexpect_Power_Loss_Ct"
et lorsqu'il perd le courant, il est obligé de totalement refabriquer la référence de ce qui est utilisé. Cela prend du temps.
Tu as raison de prendre des précautions.

Utilisation
Il est inutile de tester un SSD car les secteurs testés sont virtuels. Cela ne ferait que l'user de façon prématurée !
