j'ai mis oeneric sur l'asus eee pc 1015, bumblebee ne fonctionnant pas, il me met ça:

blacklist nouveau
Tu enregistres et tu fermes. Dans un terminal :
sudo update-initramfs -u
Puis tu redémarres, et ré-essayes optirun.

ben c'est très bizarre, il m'a mis une résolution qui pique les yeux au démarrage à 680*400 et impossible de le modifier!!
et quand j'ai essayé glxspheres : 2.5 images par sec!
mais pour optirun glxspheres : écran tout noir et quand j'ai fait échap, il a indiqué 45 images par secondes ce qui prouve qu'il a bien basculé. Mais ça marche pas fort...

Bonjour,
Il semble que l'installation de Bumblebee sur l'inspiron 15R de ma femme se soit bien passé.
"glxspheres" dit fonctionner avec le DRI des Sandy Bridges, lorsque "optirun glxspheres" dit fonctionner avec la geforce 525M.
J'ai trouvé des lignes a mettre dans "cardon" et "cardoff" et activé le "power management" dans bumblebee.conf.
Je me demande juste comment vérifier que la carte s'arrête vraiment?
Parce que là, je trouve que le ventilo souffle encore souvent bien fort.
Edit:
j'ai trouvé, dans la page de la doc , cette commande:
grep rate /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state
Qui permet de connaître la consommation. (par contre j'ai un résultat en mA, non en mW)
J'ai une baisse d'environ 1500 mA entre les deux états. (quasi 40% de moins)

bonjour voilà j'ai installé bumblebee sur un asus k53sc mais je n'est pas trouvé les appels acpi sur ce modèle sinon le reste c'est bon je peux poster ici les fichiers avec le script get_acpi_call que j'ai envoyé sur le launchpad comme demandé ou si quelqu'un a ce modèle s'il pouvait mettre les deux appels, j'en serais très content.merci et bonne continuation .
ah ! du fin fond de la bretagne grâce au libre on se sent moins seul!
Vive le libre et toutes les distributions qui m'ont fait découvrir le monde de linux!

Bonjour à tous et déjà un grand merci à l'équipe de développement de Bumblebee.
Pour apporter un peu d'eau au moulin, voici le PC que je viens d'acheter : Dell Inspiron 15R avec I3-2330M et un GPU Geforce GT525M.
Je ne l'ai pas encore déballé mais une des premières choses que j'aimerai faire, c'est de le passer en dual boot avec Ubuntu 11.10. En ce qui concerne la version de Bumblebee, pensez-vous qu'il faut que j'attende la version 3 avant que je fasse quoi que ce soit ? Et est ce que quelqu'un a réussi l'installation de Bumblebee sur une même machine ?

@Nepenthes : Un logiciel aura toujours des limitations. L'idée est qu'avec toutes nos connaissances acquises durant le développement et certaines choses qui existent déjà, il devrait maintenant être possible de faire quelque chose de beaucoup mieux (et que l'on sait pour sûr qu'il marche, car cela existe déjà pour d'autres programmes). En fait, que se passe-t-il avec VirtualGL ? On lance un programme sur le serveur principal, on compresse les commandes, on les envoies sur l'autre serveur, on décompresse, ça tourne sur la carte, qui donne des images, on les compresses, on les envoies au premier serveur, on décompresse, on copie sur la carte Intel, et c'est affiché. Donc chaque instruction/image est copiée 6 fois, et encore en supposant que c'est optimisé. Or, vu que VirtualGL à la base c'est pour transférer cela sur des réseaux Internet entre son ordinateur et un serveur (et donc clairement pas conçu pour ce que nous en faisons, comme nous le rappelle souvent son développeur), c'est probablement pas son plus gros problème. Maintenant, on se dirige vers une approche de Compositing Window Manager, (ce que fait compiz notamment), où les informations sont envoyées directement à la carte nVidia, qui copie ses résultats directement à l'écran. Windump se situait entre les deux, et il n'y a a priori aucune limitation à ce qui est possible de faire avec un CWM. En effet, en théorie, c'est comme si la carte était la seule. D'où les nombreux avantages (plus de limitation de support des technologies par VirtualGL, possibilité d'utiliser VDPAU et VAAPI, et gain de performances à situer entre un facteur 10 et 100 (quand Windump apportait un gain entre 2 et 10).
Par contre, car il faut bien qu'il y ait un mais à un tel changement, c'est beaucoup de travail, et cela prendra un certain temps.

Super, comme tu les disais, ça m'a juste donné le temps d'installer Ubuntu. Là je découvre mon nouveau PC, on dirait qu'il fonctionne bien sur Ubuntu mais il chauffe donc je pense que les deux cartes graphiques sont allumée... (sans grande surprise). J'essaie de tester la version 3.0 ce week end !

Bumblebee mis à jour, tout fonctionne comme en 2.4.1.
Les seuls soucis que j'ai étaient liés à l'installation manuelle d'une version de debug de bumblebee 2.4.1, que j'ai du désinstaller manuellement pour que la 3.0 fonctionne normalement.

Il me faudrait voir les contenus des fichier sys.log et kern.log (dans /var/log) correspondant à ces essais.
@n_faivre : Si tu vois vraiment tes pertes dans les jeux/applications 3D lourdes, signale-le moi, sur glxspheres, il y a trop de paramètres en jeu pour que ce soit significatif. Accessoirement, tu peux essayer un autre type de compression (xv, rgb, yuv).

Aucun problème à l'installation (install neuve en 3.0) et à l'exécution. Est ce que grâce à Bumblebee, lorsque je n'utilise pas la carte NVIDIA, cette dernière n'est plus alimentée ? Si tout va bien je devrai gagner en autonomie par voie de conséquence ? En tout cas, je ne sais pas si c'est une coïncidence, mais le PC ventile et chauffe moins (c'est un retour comme un autre !).

il me dis que les drivers nvdia ne sont pas activé si j'active l'affichage deviens hyper crade et l'ordi rame
j'ai nouveaux qui est utiliser comme drivers graphique actuellement la version 3.0 de bumblebee est elle compatible avec le pilote libre ?

apres avoir instaler les piloe nvdia puis reboot j'ai
