L'idée d'avoir plusieurs users : très bien mais quid des accès au /home....
On doit donc avoir deux /home différents, ce qui est très pénible à l'usage...
Je pense que ce qu'on voudrait est de pouvoir choisir librement l'environnement dans lequel on évolue et cela de manière propre...... avec un seul et même /home....
Comment faire ça proprement??? Est-ce si compliqué???

J'ai voulu faire une upgarde vers Lucid Lynx, et depuis il m'est impossible de redémarrer... :

Bonjour,

J'ai un problème récurrent avec mon Toshiba U400 17H.
J'ai un ventilateur qui tourne tout le temps... pas fort mais tout le temps... c'est assez pénible à vrai dire...
Comment puis-je savoir duquel il s'agit (carte graphique? processeurs?)? Que puis-je y faire? Ca me gâche un peu le plaisir d'Ubuntu et en plus ça me baisse l'autonomie... J'ai une autonomie bien moins sous Ubuntu que sous Windows....

Salut à  tous,

J'ai un problème vraiment pénible avec Gnome et Compiz (installation de base ubuntu).
Au bout d'un moment, lorsque je clique sur les fenêtres, elles disparaissent!!! Elles deviennent inacessibles même si elles sont toujours présentes (lorsque je kill firefox par exemple et que je le relance, il récupère les fenêtres, ce qui veut donc dire qu'elles étaient ouvertes). Parfois même elles changent de bureau, sont visibles dans la barre de tà¢ches mais inaccessibles réellement...

Qqun at'il déja eu ça? Et a-t'il réussi à  le résoudre,

Je sais que c'est un sujet récurrent mais je n'ai pas trouvé de solution pour l'instant, même avec Google mon ami!!!

Mon PC bloque un moment sur "Waiting for root file system", puis continue comme si de rien n'était.... Cela me dépasse un peu...

Je vous mets le bootchart, si jamais vous avez une idée... Est-ce le modeprobe ou le udevd??? Est-ce normal qu'ils soient exclusifs pendant leur execution...???

Sinon, peut-être cela a à voir :
-parfois le pc freeze (plus de souris, écran bloqué, clavier qui ne répond pas, etc...)... (et très souvent on sent qu'il bloque pendant quelques secondes....) Suis même parfois obligé de redémarrer.... au bouton!!!
-je perds souvent ma connexion wifi (qui reste pourtant affichée!!! mais aucun débit/échange possible avec le routeur...)

Pour info j'ai un Acer TravelMate 4202WLMi de la famille des TravelMate4200 et tourne sous Hardy!

J'ai un souci. Depuis mon passage à Intrepid, j'ai knetworkmanager qui se lance en même temps que network-manager de gnome.
Je l'ai pourtant désinstallé mais il est bien là et se relance à chaque fois...
Comment s'en débarasser???

Suite à un souhait d'amélioration de mon réseau wifi (iwl3945 capricieux......), j'ai tenté quelques démarches... en vain pour l'instant... neutral:|
MAIS, et c'est là le problème, j'ai perdu toutes mes cartes réseau (ethernet et wifi) depuis que j'ai effectué celà :

Alors j'avais conservé un ancien kernel, le 2.6.24-18... et tout marche sous celui là...
Est-ce que si je désinstalle le 2.6.24-19 en purgeant toutes les configs et que je refais un upgrade après ça devrait fonctionner...???

Salut,

Je pensais qu'Opéra me permettrait d'économiser mes ressources CPU et RAM...
Sauf que régulièrement l'operapluginwrapper vient tout bouffer en termes de CPU.

Avez-vous déja eu ce pb?

Je tourne avec Gutsy, et Opera Alpha 9.5.

J'ai presque du mal à  y croire...
Mon portable chauffe à  mort et ralentit à  cause de Xorg....

J'avoue ne pas bien comprendre le post auquel tu fais référence....
Tu crois que ça ralentirait sérieusement le système...?
J'ai un peu le même souci que le post auquel tu fais référence sous KDE, si je ne lance pas le GL Desktop...
Bref, tous ces problèmes me poussent à vouloir reformater et faire une installation propre... Sauf si, encore une fois, une solution propre existe pour corriger tous ces problèmes..

Bon, sinon question...
Comment faire en sorte qu'une install qui a 2 ans, qui a subit des upgrade à tour de bras, qui a participé à des alpha, des beta, etc... tourne comme une version toute neuve...????
Pcq je veux bien qu'on me dise que ça ne sert à rien de réinstaller, mais comment faire autrement pour un résultat comparable...?
