Installation Ubuntu 16.04 sur Asus ROG GL542VX DM435D
Bonjour,
Démarrage difficile de l'Asus ROG GL542VX DM435D avec une clé USB. Obligé de désactiver l'ACPI. Après installation, tout fonctionne à merveille sauf :
- pas d'indicateur de batterie
- les touches Fn ne fonctionnent pas
- le pavé tactile ne fonctionne pas
- quand on appuie sur le bouton M/A, l'ordinateur s'arrête brutalement
Une idée ?

Bonjour,
Depuis une session de ton Ubuntu 16.04 installé, je te prie de faire un rapport Bisnext. C'est le paragraphe 2 (depuis une session standard) que tu dois suivre.
Motif de ma demande : je souhaite vérifier les paramètres de noyau qui sont utilisés et d'autres bricoles également.

On a la confirmation que tu utilises le paramètre de noyau acpi=off dans l'extrait suivant :

Il ne faut plus que tu utilises ce paramètre acpi=off : il te permet de démarrer mais il empêche ensuite le bon fonctionnement.
Pour enlever ce paramètre, tu devras procéder comme suit :
1) installation de gksu en vue d'utiliser gksudo :

2) passer la commande suivante dans un terminal :
gksudo gedit /etc/default/grub
3) dans le fichier grub qui s'ouvre dans gedit (l'éditeur de texte), supprimer acpi=off :
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="acpi=off"
Après modif, ça doit donner ça :
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""
4) enregistrer dans l'éditeur de texte
5) mettre à jour grub.cfg en passant la commande suivante :
sudo update-grub

Merci Malbo !
J'ai supprimé "acpi=off" de /etc/default/grub. OK pour les touches Fn, l'indicateur de batterie. le pavé tactile et l'arrêt de l'ordinateur. En revanche, le ventilateur tourne à fond et fait un bruit énorme !
Pas trouvé comment ajouter le paramètre nomodeset au démarrage. Info complémentaire : j'ai Ubuntu MATE.
Après installation du pilote Nvidia propriétaire, je n'ai plus la résolution 1600x900. Obligé de la rajouter avec xrandr. Et avec le pilote propriétaire, Minecraft ne se lance plus. Problème avec OpenGL.
Après réinstallation du pilote libre, ordinateur complètement planté. Obligé de tout réinstaller
Tout réinstallé donc, avec "acpi=off", puis à nouveau supprimé ce paramètre de /etc/default/grub. Tout fonctionne bien. Seul problème : le bruit du ventilateur qui tourne à fond bêtement (l'air qui sort est froid).
Une idée ?

J'ai été un peu trop vite à répondre. Avant de générer le rapport, j'ai oublié de retirer "acpi=off" que j'ai remis pour calmer le ventilateur. Le problème est qu'en retirant "acpi=off", je ne parviens plus à générer le rapport. Ça bloque après l'affichage de "...hardware and system summary".

Je ne sais pas t'aider à sortir de l'ornière. Je suis convaincu que c'est un souci d'affichage et en principe l'installation du pilote propriétaire aurait dû permettre de résoudre ça.
